  • Honeybear my main job is just lunchtime supervision, so that's only 6 hours a week, I'm doing one day a week one-to-one, so that's only 11 hours, the volunteering is going to be 10 hours but that's in lieu of the school paying for my course (and a requirement even if I paid myself) the other days use come up as and when if I'm free when needed. The after school club I'm only going to job share so it will be 6 hours. So I'm only doing 28 hours a week unless extras occur. That's still sort of one part time job for anyone else. My 'baby' is 16 now so I need to do something else.
Just need to be a more organised flylady so the hose doesn't suffer as a result.

  • I have decided I'm having a day off today, at least from flying, I have work at 2pm! The flat is clean and tidy (apart from the bed as I'm still in it! :o ) just some laundry to be put away if its dry, which I'll check while lunch is cooking.

The windows are still in desperate need of a wash, and I know that the job will only take about 30 mins when I finally start but I cba :p
It has been added to my to-do list, I'm working all weekend so can't see it being done before next week, however I don't have a music lesson next Thurs (tutor is away) so may tackle it then.

Sorry, foggy brain today so I've forgotten what I've read again. Hugs and sticks to all, sorry no spoons to share as I need them myself :(

Todays plans have gone to pot again :rotfl:We overslept, ended up rushing out to the dentists (appointment was 9am, I realised the time at 8.40 while we were still in pjs and eating breakfast ) luckily its only 5 mins walk away. DD got another all okay, my tooth that had me there 2 weeks ago is sensitive but not painful (I need to go get new sensitive toothpaste) so back in a few months as she's keeping a close eye on it, then she cleaned all of my front teeth for me properly. Everything now tastes weird :rotfl: Anyways we came home, DD washed up most of the dishes (she can do some more after lunch), and I'm powering through the laundry. Not much else is happening though as I'm still feeling awful and woken up with razorblades in my throat today.

Plan for this afternoon is for me to have a long hot soak in the bath while DD does her homework. Later we're going to go out for a walk to see if we can blow some cobwebs away and take down some mystic gyms who seem to have taken over 3 out of the 4 gyms which we can see in the area.:o Errands in town are now waiting until Sunday, and the money for the bank I'll transfer instead of paying in the cash since the branch is closed on a Sunday. Plus their filming the festive adverts for the shopping centre we were going to go to anyway so bits are taped off for that.

I'm off to sort out this wash load and nag DD to come hang it out. Its a skill she needs to learn ;)

Posi-vibes, GWS vibes and car-mended vibes where needed.

I have discovered a cane toad I didn't even know about! :wall:

I dropped a screw (don't ask!) last night in the bedroom; so went down on hands and knees looking for it (never did find it) and was :eek::eek::eek::eek: at the amount of cobwebs and general grot under the dresser.

Before I became disabled, I used to do a thorough spring-clean every year - even used to take a fortnight off work to do it. This included having all the cupboards and bookcases etc out from the wall, and cleaning behind and under. I can't do this any more, my health and dodgy joints preclude it.

Anyways, Mr LW has just this moment finished mowing the back lawn, so I shall grab him and he can help me clean under there as best we can without actually moving the furniture.

    Wish me luck......

  • I went under the fridge this morning LW - well not literally I took the front panel off and had a sweep under there it was minging, dust about 1cm thick and all manner of detritus hiding in it.

Just back from mils, wm seems fine I've set a load going and told her not to touch it Dh will check when he pops round later. Think she either overloaded it or put it on a different setting as she can't remember what she uses normally. So it's possible she just used a longer programme, she said it seemed like it had been on for ages so she panicked and turned it off at the wall. That's why it was all still soaking as it wasn't at the end of a cycle.
While there I clean her Windows washed and filled the birdbaths and feeder and built and put out the windmills we got for her birthday.

Need to give my wm a test run now, Guy demonstrated it for me to prove it worked and told me to run a ugh it to clear any oil form drum it's had an empty run so should be OK to use.

Just need to run dyson round and make our bed, then I think I call myself up to date. Some stuff didn't quite get done but lots did so I'm happy.

    Have a lovely weekend all.
I'm giving to light a candle tonight and wish everyone a peaceful and calm weekend with their loved ones

    Evening all :)

Peaceful 10 min here, DD is drawing a storyboard and DS is making an airport - and both ate all their chicken dinner so I can just chill for a while - DW is on and kitchen wiped round - we ate early tonight.

DS new sling arrived, he likes and it fits much better. But he's swinging free at the moment ;)

Other than paper and airplanes we are in pretty good shape. Might S&S the sinks and loos later.

My (free) replacement Fitbit arrived today, pleased with that, and it has taken today's data from my old one so I don't lose it :T

  • Hi all

I missed the bit about CY being in hospital, have thought about her quite a bit just lately. Keeping everything crossed.

DS2 is out somewhere and will text when he wants collecting, thought he would be home by now. Cant settle.

I am not doing too well with my hours at job no. 2 at the mo. I am supposed to do 12 hrs a week and I am not managing it, despite rarely managing to sit down before 9.30pm on a night. This means working tomorrow to catch up. Not an ideal way to spend a Saturday but needs must.

At least I have managed to do quite a bit of flying this week so just a few finishing off bits to do.

    Good wishes for CY
Get well car vibes Mr Iona

Gone pretty off piste again today as usual:
    - Mr N and I did lots of gardening, including something that's been on my Toots list for years.....well I've started it anyway. Lots of pruning and shredding, and attacking a large area "the mound" which is a heap of earth [STRIKE]dumped[/STRIKE] we made a feature of when the pond was dug, planted shrubs etc. 25yrs later it is a forest. Watch this space for what it becomes!
    - picked lots of tomatoes from greenhouse
    - all washing and DW up to date
    - Hospital checkup for Mr N while I decluttered a C0sta from hospital waiting area
    - visited friends and lent a saddle; she may be interested in one of the others I've had up for sale for ages.
    - written up quite a bit of yesterday's assessment
    - getting on with sorting out holiday photos
    - rest of house pretty ok apart from conservatory which maybe I'll blitz on Sun as the weather forecast is naff.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
