I have too many pairs of sandals and boots. I've had a cull of them but still got loads. My problem is I try them on in the shop and they feel really comfy then when I actually wear them for longer they hurt. So I end up wearing only the really comfy ones. I'm waiting for a date to have my bunion done so hopefully I might be able to wear more of them at some stage. The woman I sit next to at work has so many clothes, bags and shoes you rarely see her in the same thing twice which makes me feel less guilty about my stash.
Enjoy your brunch todayI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I'm the same as you SA - I'd :hate to think of how much money I've wasted on shoes which I thought were comfy at the time of purchase and then proved anything but!:::(
I also work with someone like your colleague - she insists that she doesn't have tons of clothes and accessories but ')ust swaps things around to make different outfits' but I'm not convinced. She does however buy most of her things in sales - and has bought some really lovely stuff from Zara. One day when I'm smaller I will buy lovely staff in Zara's sale........:(
Have a good day everyone.

It's good to have you back SSG
. Sorry you've been feeling low and stressed at work but I'm glad you're starting to feel better now.
Half of the PPI could be a very good thing if you can't get hold of ex, great news that you'll be getting some money back anyway.

Hi Hairy – thanks for your kind post. Yes it will be nice to get something back – it just goes to show that it was worth trying – even though the loan was taken out all those years ago.BalanceBy50 wrote: »Just echoing everyone else - glad you are back! Hope you had a good brunch xx
Hello BB50 – thank you! – brunch was very nice! The weather was sunny and we sat outside under a big brolly in the fresh air!
I got the brunch this time around and it was my turn to pay for lunchtime coffees today with my friend – all out of the relevant pot which is now slightly overdrawn for the month! So I'll have to top up the debit from the ad hoc spends this week. Other budgeted spends was a nice 60th birthday card for a good friend.
My friend and I also want to see 'The Lion King' next Sunday so will be getting some tickets when the new booking week starts tomorrow at the Odeon.
Big budgeted pay out today was the half-yearly service charges for my flat, which always goes up every year! £535! Tomorrow I'm paying the awful renovation charge for the flat as well………….Anyway I've brought my own breakfast and lunch in so nothing to pay here.
Back on the 5:2 diet – I must get cracking on with this as I want to lose a few stone for the Norwegian holiday next year and time is fast ticking away…………..

I confess I buy most of my things in sales. Mainly Tu and M&S. I’m lucky I’m size 8 so there’s usually plenty left at the end of the sale which is when I go in
Good luck with your 5:2, you’ve got a while yet before your next trip, you can do itI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

I tend to try and wait until I get a discount code from Marisota or Evans but I find that my size can sell out quite fast if I leave it too long.
Thanks for the positive vibes on the diet. DD has booked some excursions for when we are away - one of them is a beach ride on Icelandic horses! It's a good job they're very sturdy!:rotfl: but I've still got to lose some weight before I'm allowed to ride one so that's another reason to drop some pounds!:eek:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Have a great week x0 -
Enjoy the Lion King - I’m not sure about it tbh - I think the skills behind producing it are amazing - but - I think it’ll be too real- I blubbed at the animated one - not sure what I’d do with life like looking characters. You’ll have to report back.
Your holiday sounds fantastic - what an incentive to get back on track with your 5:2 diet - you can do it.January spends - £587.580
