END OF SCRIMPY WEEK 2 - MARCH
Today's the end of Week 2 and I'm in deficit after a very non-scrimpy week!
I had a fab time last Thursday though. If you love fashion the Christian Dior Exhibition is well worth a visit. It was beautifully created - the dresses were behind glass but you could view them quite closely. The clothes that Galliano created whilst he was at the helm there were out of this world, but DD and I both agreed that if we had to choose what we would actually like to wear ourselves, then the Yves St Laurent phase was our favourite.
We then met up with DSis afterwards and saw 'All About Eve." It had had mixed reviews but we (and the rest of the packed audiences) thought it was excellent - wonderfully acted and a clever production. Again confirmed my opinion that I must be watching different plays/films than some of the critics out there!
We then had a cocktails, a lovely early dinner and (ahem) more cocktails.
All in all a fantastic day, but after totting up the Oyster card top-up, Pret coffees, drinks at the theatre, cocktails, taxis, and Pret soup the following day (as I didn't get around to boiling my eggs in the evening) I have finished the week £36.96 in deficit with my weekly Ad Hoc spends!:o. And that's adding on £6.30 left from the Entertainments pot!
So I'm going to have to fiddle around with the next fortnight's spends and not go mad!
£5.84 arrived in my account today from Prolific so this has been put in the Savings pot. Also I'm waiting to receive £7.13 from top Cashback into my account.
Other things this week - 'Fighting With My Family" was very funny - really enjoyed it yesterday.
My friend is doing very well at home - my other friend went to see her yesterday and took a roast dinner for recuperating friend and her husband! It's wonderful that she can finally eat normally again, though she still has a long way to go. Her spirits are up though and she's busy writing down things for her hubby to do!:D
And big news for me - I received my yearly bonus at work which, even after tax means I can treat myself to a nice holiday this year plus still put some away!:jFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
