    Thank you smartcat.

    I've recently set up internet banking, which is fab :T, i can transfer money to my ISA etc, whilst still keeping track on my balance and incoming and outgoings, don't know why i didn't do it sooner :rolleyes:.

    It's brilliant. No more having to queue up at the bank to pay bills or send cheques off and theres no excuse for not knowing your balance because you can check it at home. Saves a lot of time and hassle for me. Bills paid on time and easy to track whats going in and out.

    Yep, exactly.

    Makes me a little more determined to get my savings to a higher balance now, seeing it on the screen makes it seem "that little more real" :p.

    Hello everyone, just thought i'd do a little update as not updated in a while.

    I didn't get the job which i applied for, the interview went well and i had some positive feedback in the letter in which they sent me afterwards so at least that's one good thing. I've sent off for another application which would be a little more suitable for me, so hopefully should receive that on Monday.

    This months going to be a very expensive month, my aims for the month are to:

    * Keep spending to a minimum and keep within my weekly budget
    * Take a pack lunch to work daily
    * Ebay as much as i can
    * Stop smoking

    The stopping smoking is going to be the most difficult for me. The main reason me stopping is of course my health, but the second biggest thing will be the impact that it does to my weekly budget. I'm spending approximately £20 a week on cigarettes (£80 a month) and this simply needs to stop (so expect me to be here more regularly, which will give me something to do rather than having a cigarette).

    Wish me luck.

    Yes good luck babes, and it's better to start stopping (excuse my terrible English, I have brain-fry) in December, then you're a month ahead of all those New Year quitters.

    Haven't updated in a while so thought i'd come back here to try and keep me on the straight and narrow whilst heading into 2008 ;).

    I'm ashamed to say that i didn't quite manage to quit those awful cigs, although i have cut down quite a lot so i suppose that is some kind of progress. My quit date will be the 1st of January, my mum too is looking to quit from then so it should be a whole lot easier as all the other people in our house are non-smokers. I haven't been well all week and this as really made me think of my health, i really must try and stop, otherwise it's only going to get worse healthwise, plus no amount of expensive perfume could cover up that ghastly smell could it, oh and i wouldn't want to waste it :p.

    Over Christmas i put around £200 on my card (as i did a little on-line shopping) so i really need to pay that off once the statement arrives.

    Have lots of things to ebay, but may wait until a few weeks as it's extremely slow at the moment.

    I also have a interview in a few weeks time for a much better role and a bigger salary, fingers crossed.
