Parking fine from UKPC (private company - not local authority!)

We had a little one in a car seat, and to get the child in the seat out of the car we needed to open the door wide. In a normal narrow space this was difficult. In a wide P&C space it was easy.
The lines in the car park are simply that - lines of paint-like stuff. If all the P&C are taken simply go to a free bit of the car park and take up 1.5 'normal' spaces....0 -

As it is impossible to park in 1.5 spaces that means taking up two spaces, which is hardly fair on other shoppers is it?
Firstly, that should only be an issue if the car park was absolutely full and you took the last two available spaces [like, never?], and....
Secondly, if you truly NEED the 1.5/2 spaces to get in or out, then who can criticise you?? Your needs come above theirs.
You can't have it both ways.....the P&C and BB spaces take up more than 'one' space, but that is 'fair', yet taking up two 'normal spaces' is 'hardly fair'....lol0 -

My old local Tesco was often full, or close to being full.
The point of P&C spaces is that they are there for people that need them, and not people like yourself that just want to park there because it is convenient.
You mention 'fair', but obviously you think its 'fair' to park in a wider space, just because it is closer to the store.
I wasn't actually talking about my behaviour [terrible though it is], I was responding to your point wrt [I paraphrse here] 'taking up two normal spaces is hardly fair' and I was saying that it's not bad if you need them, and the chances of actually depriving anyone of a space was very slim and even so it was OK do this if you truly NEEDED two spaces to get in or out.
There's always a risk in a situation like this that it just degenerates into misintrepretation followed by misinterpretation, etc [see above] so lets just let it lie there......... because at the end of the day I'm a bad person.0 -
In the words of our American brethren...."Doh! Do the math, !!!!!!"....LOL
Seriously, what's your question/statement?? Are you saying half is a good [or bad] figure??
I'm confused as to what you mean.
Yes it can be abused, however this doesn't alter the rules to its use one bit, (two wrongs don't make a right).
Abuse of the card SHOULD be punished, whether its the driver of the vehicle or owner of the card that abuses it.
But the rules of the blue bay parking spot still remain, No badge=No parking Whatever the reason.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

No I mean if 50% are being mis-used, (of which I have no doubt), is it right to take it out on the 50% that don't mis-use it.

You're correct on so many points.
The danger is that at 50% mis-use it leads to so many 'ordinary Joe/Joanna Publics' becoming disenfranchised with the scheme that it collapses. They justify their behaviour 'because nearly everyone is a fraud anyway' and 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'.
As less abuse occurs more people 'trust' the scheme - but at the current levels of abuse it's only going to get worse [imo].0 -

I might have missed a very important Legal reference in this topic, but can anyone tell me which Act of Parliament gives a special status to disabled/Parent&brat parking spaces on private land??0
