I'm back from hols and running to catch up.
3 loads washing done.
Ald1 visited.
9 large winter squashes harvested and old plants pulled up.
Church flowers done.
Church vacuumed with help from Mr N.
Holiday debris gradually being put into proper homes.
emails gradually being caught up with.
All post opened, dealt with as required.
Mum and MIL caught up with.
That's about it, but in my defence we only got back yesterday afternoon after 27hrs travelling (including airport waits) plus came home in time for the last bits of the paralympics...........
Hugs, congratulations, spoons and sticks for all - I've skimmed the threads but not remembered much. Hi to newbies.
Need to get organised as I've got an assessment to do at uni on Wed and had another enquiry for a private one. if I can remember how to do them!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Morning all!
Bright and sunny here so WM currently on load 3. Forecast for the next few days not good so will probably get another load in after.
From my mammoth list yesterday I managed to get living room, hall stairs and landing in tip-top state of cleanliness. Also cleaned dining room, all windows in these rooms. I stripped DS's bed, washed mattress protector (tea spill) and remade that. I also cleared out a bit more of his uni stuff and have flung a fitted sheet he brought home which was passed on from sis. It was red so doesn't go with anything. I washed out kitchen bin too.
Today I want to do the kitchen and bathroom. I would also like to get some blackberries to make bramble jelly.
Also MUST clean out the bunny. And maybe cut the grass these evening...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I've heard from CY. She's having a tough time at the moment and hoping that some treatment on Monday will sort her out, so fingers crossed for that. She asked me to pass on her love to Flyladies and said she's cheering us on from the sofa.
It's noticably colder here but the sun's shining so all's well with the world. Washing dangling.
I seem to spend my time tidying up. I just don't understand quite how I manage to get into such a pickle; probably trying to do too much, starting one job before I finish another. Must do better. Won't be too hard, I seem to have blown up my sewing machine and the engineer hasn't replied to my phone message. I'll have to drag OH's mother's down from the attic if I want to carry on, which I do, but I think I'll do a bit of Flying today instead. Kitchen sort of sorted and I've put the rubbish out, so that's a start.Better is good enough.0 -

Hi there. I'm fluttering again. Life has been manic. On the plus side, my DH and I celebrated 12 yrs last weekend. We went out for a lovely meal last nigh (mostly paid for with a voucher from a grateful patient of his) and to see Cats. For the 4th time!
It was wonderful. DH said that I looked the happiest and most relaxed I have in years. How much has changed in only 16months.
My sign on with the recruitment agency has been interesting. My 20-25hrs sprees over 5 days (and only a max of 5hrs a day due to Furry Beast) has led to a temporary 2day a week commute to Ayr. (1.5hrs drive each way).
I really didn't feel I could turn down the first thing I was offered, but I've said it can only be very short term. FurryBeast is spending the two days with his favourite dog sitter who is an angel. I drop him off 0700 and pick him up between 19 and 2000. And she's refused to take any payment. Big M&S gift voucher for Christmas I think.
I'm finding the adjustment really difficult though. It's virtually taking me a day to recover from each day at work. Flying etc has gone to pot.
I used to be able to do 40+ hr weeks. I don't know what is up.
Glad to hear CY is still on the couch.
Hope you had a lovely holiday Narc0lepsy You've achieved more already than I have all weekend.
(((Hugs))), and sticks as required. I'm afraid I need all the spoons available at the moment.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Hi there,
Please may I join you again??
I think it was about 3 years ago when I was last here. At that time I was working full time and basically was just keeping afloat!!
I am now working part-time, 3 days on, 4 days off so would love to be organised on a daily basis so my weekends are relaxing and enjoyable, rather than the usual frantic getting up to date before Monday rolls around again!!
Looking forward to joining you all again
Have a great Sunday

2 loads X wm out on whirley and a trip to the city centre. Lovely sunny day here. X
The closing date for the job I have applied for is tomorrow :eek0 -
Afternoon all, hope everyone is as well as can be.
Thinking of CY and hope tomorrow's treatment goes well and help with how she is feeling.
Hugs to all who need them.
Took loads to CS yesterday. Went for a walk with Dh and had a pint, ds2 fell of his bike on the way to work so had to be brought home. Thankfully he's ok, just a few cuts and grazes. So he's had today off as well.
Wm has been sounding funny for a while, so Dh rang them today it's still in parts warranty but we've paid for some extra cover that will give us a full 12 of pair of replace as its going to be expensive to replace bearings as its sealed drum. So we think this is the cheapest way to do it.
Had 4 of 5 of the kid plus partners round for dinner today which has been lovely. DGS is now fast asleep while we have a cuppa in the garden.
Going to do some cross stitch now as I haven't done any for ages.SPC~12 ot 124

On the drive back I did contemplate cleaning the car and washing all the windows when we got home, but by the time we got back I was hit by the wearys so we've just chilled for the day.
