Congrats dizzy what lovely news!
Not the best start to the morning here - DS lost a tooth at teatime and the tooth fairy forgot to visit  I had friends round, and kiddies fussed and stalled at bedtime and both ended up getting up again and sitting in the garden with us at 9pm on a school night! It was v warm. They appear to be eating prawn crackers for breakfast...
So I've blamed the late bedtime and said she will come back tomorrow if he's asleep at a reasonable time <naughty mummy>. I'll make up for it today...
Looking like rain here and I need to pop out for a few groceries this morning. We tidied and vacced kiss bedrooms the other night and DS had his bed changed yesterday so that should help later.
Had another bid and now 20 watchers on ebeastBossymoo

Morning all from my new bed - goodness it seems high up ! House a mess though due to furniture shifting and back too late last night to do much. Still the mess will wait!

Morning all,
Congratulations auntie Dizzyx
Just checking in to say have a good Friday. I'm just doing daily stuff this morning, then off to work. I'm going for drinks straight after work, so that'll be no chance of flying for the rest of the day!
See you all later x0 -
Bossy, I think the tooth fairy has missed at least one visit to most kiddies. I know she has mine. Best one was when dd1 forgot to bring a tooth home from school it had been left on her desk in an envelope at home time and got thrown away by the cleaner. She got very upset, thinking on my feet I slipped the teacher a £1 and took dd over to coat pegs to calm her down teacher then pointed out the £1 that was on DDs desk and said the fairy must have come to school to collect it. Mine normally had a tooth bag under the pillow, but the fairy is very small so if they lay with their heads directly over the bag little fairy can't always wriggle under to get the tooth so may have to cone back another night.;)
Shameless flirting with binman:o and claiming Dh had forgotten to put my blackbags out (after first binman had been along the street and put everyone's in big piles) resulted in the 3 bags containing old carpet being taken this week as well as my household rubbish :TSPC~12 ot 124

Morning all
Hugs, sticks, spoons and vibes to all.
Congrats on the new arrival Dizzy.
Well the charity didn't come and collect the stuff  I booked them 2 weeks ago as they only collect on a Thursday afternoon (which I didn't know at the time) and I'd already booked Zack into the vets for a Thursday. I rang yesterday morning to confirm and got told they would be here. So when DD got in from school at 5pm we had to cart it all back upstairs into my bedroom. We then left at 6pm and got back just before 9pm, ate supper and went to bed. :rotfl: I did manage to clear the ironing pile before DD got in, I also washed up and did laundry but that's it.
Today I have to run into town for work and household errands. I also need to go and buy some new tops as just about all of mine either have holes in them where my belt has caught them, or are becoming see through  I have had most of them 2 or 3 years and I only have about 10 in total so they get worn regularly so it's not too bad, just annoying trying to find replacements I like when they wear out. I also need some footy style socks to wear with my walking boots as I only have thin pathetic ones. I think I'm going to walk it for the exercise as its much cooler today and the fresh air will do me good.
So far today I've done dailies upstairs, and the one wash load for this morning has just finished. I'm going to hang the sofa cover out to air/dehair, get my stuff together to go to town and leave as soon as phones are charged. The sooner I get there the sooner I'll get bored and head back :rotfl:Hopefully I'll miss the lunchtime crowds if I leave soon. When I get back I have some work to do then this evening DD and I are cleaning the house. Not sure what we're having for tea, but pizza sounds good to me as DD will be having fish & chips for lunch.
Off to find my shopping bags and my paying in book....:wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all (just!)
Not a great start to the day. Came down at 6.30 to the cat trapped in the utility room - I normally put her out all night but couldn't see her anywhere when I went to bed so assumed she was already out. She must have been tucked in a corner somewhere napping. Anyways, you can imagine the mess (not to mention the SMELL :eek:) that I had to deal with. I steam cleaned the floor three times, and now have bicarb scattered everywhere with bleach soaking on the worst bits (its terracotta tiled in there so absorbs smells badly)
Did school run in the heavy rain looking like Mrs Twit and probably stinking of ammonia, and dashed to Aldi. Did big shop, during which I thought DS had done a poo in his nappy so we dashed round and outta there. Turns out it wasn't DS - when I unloaded everything into the car (as was too embarrassed to pack instore like normal) i saw that the cat food pouhces I had bought (fish in gravy _pale__pale_) had leaked ALL OVER MY RUDDY SHOPPING.
So I have had to make like an OCD cleaner and wash everything down that I have bought before putting it away. Bags for life have been binned and the car boot is open to air it.
I think I need a stiff drink - scrap that, just a brew please, I have't had one today!
Sorry, rant overI'll pop back on later xx

 I'm back online at last
- it's been so frustrating watching college emails pile up and not being able to open the attachments or get into the virtual information system. The sun is now shining and the day that started badly here too is improving.
[Rant alert]What do you do about a DH who gets up in the night to go to the loo, sits there for half an hour playing CandyCrush before coming back to bed, then is so tired during the day that he is grumpy all the time and falls asleep at every opportunity? Did I mention that on Saturday he fell asleep while driving down the M5 and nearly killed us both? - we were lucky that there were no other vehicles within 100 yards of us and I screamed loudly enough to wake him up before we went headfirst into the central reservation, so all he has got is £1000 worth of scrapes along the side of his car
[Rant over]
(((Hugs))) to ATB and Nicky.
Great news from Auntie Dizzy :j Welcome to your new niece and congratulations to your brother on his calendar calculation skills :rotfl:
I have tidied everywhere, done washing up to date, emptied ironing basket, S&S'd bathroom and kitchen, and put out all the things we need to take to a conference this weekend (including everything for a display table). I began doing some studying but DH will be wanting lunch soon, so I'm checking emails and finances instead.
Hope everyone has a good weekend x0 -
Yikes ionafan glad you are both ok. I would be confiscating said device at bedtime - there is no need to have them in the night - and would be driving myself around in future!
Kids rooms sorted, dusted, vacced, DD bed done and washed but they were quite tidy bar a few teddies under the beds as they played "armies" with them yesterday :rotfl:
Also got a few fridge bits to keep us going over the weekend, plus a new cardiand I've caught up with some more admin. My Fitbit wristband is failing, and they've asked for proof of purchase and damage, so I've emailed the relevant pics. Hoping they'll send me a new one!
And I printed a little tooth fairy note, and wrote a little poem on it about not finding him in bedI've left it under his pillow now with a pound.
Right, I've got an hour before I go to DD assembly. Rest or fly? Maybe a bit of both...Bossymoo
