Fingers crossed that your sister's chemo goes well, Valli. Everything here's crossed for her, too. . Happy luxurious new bed wishes heading your way.

How lovely that something lovely is finally happening for you, Dizzy! The job sounds super-intersting and exciting. Hope the builders and insurance company are straightforward. Mucho congratulations on the safe arrival of your neice.

Wow, Ionafan. Tbh, playing candy crush for half an hour, or anything else if it's only 30 minutes, isn't why he's tired during the day, is it? I'd suggest that if your OH has a serious sleep problem that playing computer games isn't helping him get back to sleep, but is keeping him awake. It might be worthwhile shoving some lavendar under his pillow and making a hot drink if he's awake and feels the need to get out of bed. As to falling asleep at the wheel - I no longer travel with anyone, whether in a car or on a boat, if I don't trust the person at the helm to ensure that I arrive safely. I'd rather drive, not sail, or just not travel.

Flying has not gone that well this week but I have sort of stayed on top of some of it .... Laundry up to date, carpet sucking mostly up to date, house looks okay enough, just not sparkly. Must do better next week.
    Better is good enough.

Enjoyed assembly thanks :) DD was "English Star" as she retold little red riding hood in her own words, with brilliant handwriting, all correct punctuation and capitals, and lots of descriptive words. Her teacher said she couldn't find anything to improve upon :T:A very proud (of my lg that can't read properly, lolol)

Uniform wash is in, dinner cooked - tried sauce on the pasta tonight (they don't do sauces). DS wolfed it down :T lets just say DD is currently eating a cheese sandwich. To be fair, she did try it, and ate her veggies.

Just having a brew then I'll go wipe up in the kitchen.

Oh, NDN are back form hols - daughter had told her I'd text about the AWOL boy, so she came round to say thanks for keeping an eye out, and gave me a bunch of lilies! They are now on my kitchen windowsill, preparing to bloom any day now :D

Once I've hung up the washing, I'll be putting my feet up! Dancing, football and swimming to organise this weekend...

House is a midden, nothing's been cleaned (apart from my bedroom carpet, obvs) and all carp from old bed storage heaped in DDs room. But I am going out tonight. And I don't care about the mess. So there.

  • Iona is he OK? Doesnt sound right to me. Hugs.

Have not read properly, sorry. Nice day at the paid stuff, more work at home, dog walk with DH. Busy weekend planned.

Have dropped DS2 at a party with a couple of bottles of weak alcopop. Slight reservations about this party but the two friends he is with are sensible kids. He is "sleeping" in a tent in a field and is at work tomorrow. Goodness knows what state he will be in.

Enjoy your evening Valli hope it brings some smiles - the mess will wait (and I'm sure it's not that bad xxx

WM just finished with whites so I'm going to hang these up then off to bed <yawn>

Oh, I emailed Fitbit about my strap coming off, they are not replaceable apparently so they are sending me a new Fitbit, upgraded as they don't have mine in stock! At no charge! Fabulous customer service from them once my query got assigned to someone!

    Night all xxx

    Morning all.

    Well done to little Bossy.
Hope you had a nice evening Valli.
Ionafan - I ban phones at night, would also drive myself!

Up at 6.30, not bad at all. Poppet is sleeping over 8 hours a night with not a squeak from her. No accidents this morning either. She is now asleep on my lap again, having shredded a newspaper.

Not sure what flying will get done today. May just potter and play with the dogs in the garden.

    Have a great day everyone.

Aw Jazee I can't get the idea of a pet out of my head since I saw your pic of the lil' cutie. Was reading up about rabbits but it suggests they are as much work as having a dog...

Feel like I've actually slept last night :T
Other than getting DD to ballet today, we have a fairly quiet one with just some gardening planned. Going to pull out all the stuff that's gone over, including the genetically modified tomatoes lol. And I want to cut the clematis and lay the obelisks down behind the hebe so they don't blow about. Front looks much tidier since I removed the scratty baskets so I want to do the same for the back too.

More laundry to get going as well - I'll put a wash on now so I can get it out on the line.
