Pollyanna, just press the quote button below the relevant post - you should then be able to edit down the bit you want. I don't know how you quote from several people in the same post iyswim.

Polly good to see you back - to quote click the orange ballon next to the "Thank you" button at the bottom of a post. For multi quoting (up to 4 posts) click the blue balloon next to the orange balloon and then on the final quote click the blue balloon and then click the orange balloon!

Snoozer and Caronc Thank you both so much for your advise on quotes . I shall try that tomorrow - bear with :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Meanwhile I've been practising the bold dear Mar taught me some time back , sadly she took the huff for a while as I cruelly repaid her by typing the name of her " favourite " green vegetable across my next post in GREEN !

The purpose of this exercise is to hopefully make my posts a bit less rambling . By the time I catch up I've forgotten who said what . Hopefully I can quote and comment as I go - we'll see :D

The past week I've been up and down. Hosting extra people last long weekend took it out of me, then work was busy. Add in awful insomnia and hand pain (this caught me out, I've never felt such pain from my hands and wrists before). Well I've been a bit of a misery guts within myself.

Thankfully this weekend has been quiet and relaxing but I'm feel like I've lost my back bone and I'm just going through the motions because I have to.

    Moan over!

A few days of work then we are away camping. Which is pretty full on activity wise but the fresh air and wonderful natural scenery makes up. I also tend to sleep like a log - added bonus. I'm just a bit worried that I'll not be able to pull my weight as our set up is more glamping than roughing it. Getting the tent up in itself is a task, but once she's pitched and all set out with bedroom, living, kitchen and dining areas all set up she is a thing of beauty. It's a lovely place to be.

Bit anxious and have a lot going on at work so worried about being away from that too! Grrr...

Hope you are all enjoying the Easter break and are doing as well as can be xxx

Katkin I know it's easier said than done but try to take things one day at a time. When it comes to the camping you can only do what you can manage without spending your break in pain .
I hope some fresh air and a change of scene will help settle the sleep pattern somewhat . Sometimes being away from day to day life can make a difference .
Re going through the motions I've spent some time over the last week or two trying to work out why I seem to be struggling with day to day things more than a year ago . One thing I came to realise is since the rotator cuff problems last year I had developed a fear of the same thing happening again . I've only just identified that the tasks I struggle with are the ones I did in the lead up last summer to that happening .
I am slowly and carefully testing each one and have decided to be more mindful of doing them over a period rather than a few marathon bursts .

I hope all are well and get some sunshine , wet and windy here today and the hands are letting me know perhaps that could be a factor in your hand pain Karcher or maybe the entertaining or a combination of both .
I don't think people will be thinking you aren't pulling your weight . If your camping friends know you they will understand if you have to pace yourself .
You could always sing to them as entertainment , only you will know if that's wise or not .:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Take care

Well, having had the pleasure of Bluebell the Staffie's company for a few days, I now have Ronnie the Jack Russell Terrier. He's an old friend, this is his sixth stay with us, and he acts as if he owns the bungalow! :rotfl: He's currently lying beside me on the sofa, snoring his little head off. :D

Mr LW has now been retired for 13 months, and still I'm struggling with not having my own "space" any more; one of the chief problems is that I try and do a little WiiFit each day, but it needs to be when I feel able to do it - and I most assuredly do not want an audience, so I'm having to try and persuade him that he [STRIKE]needs[/STRIKE] wants to do something in another room. Our bungalow is quite tiny, so there's not the option of setting up the Wii anywhere else other than the lounge.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Hi LW You seem to be on a roll with the four legged friends , good to see the return of Ronnie .
Can you think of some sort of project or diversion for MrLW ? Failing that do you have a shed or something you can accidently lock him in every now and then ?
I am very happy with my own company when allowed . I need the headspace to process my thoughts and do my own thing so I can understand that although you think the world of him you need some time alone .
Do you share a desktop, laptop or whatever ? I'm upstairs on the laptop at the moment although the modem is downstairs . DD used to have a desktop upstairs but after a few laptops she went back to a desktop downstairs but uses her smartphone too .
Has he any interests that would take him outdoors sometimes ?
I don't know what to come up with really .

    Good evening waving_smiley.gif
"Normality" or whatever that is this has more or less resumed and offspring have departed, it will be July before elder son and his girlfriend can get back up :( . We had a great day yesterday the kids were stars in helping with the prep and clearing up so not much to do today which is just as well as I'm absolutely shattered after all the activity of the last few days but it was so worth it:D .
Elderly pooch and visiting pup got on well yesterday, both managed to tire themselves out just before we ate so they snoozed and we got peace to enjoy our meal. Pup's newest favourite toy is an empty water bottle, she's teething and when I had pups I used to fill an empty bottle with ice and water for them to gnaw at. It had a good rattle about the place before she had a good go at it and did seem to help her mouth. Tonight I'm having an easy meal of gammon steak with a flat mushroom stuffed with LO spicy cous cous so not much prep or clearing up from that and there are a couple of small glasses of red left in a bottle so it would be a shame to waste it....;)

    Hello and good afternoon!

Easter is over...it has been lovely - if a little stressful.

We have had more visitors - always exhausting however welcome they are! The last bunch of visitors included my 6/7 year old niece and nephew....seriosuly, do childrens' batteries ever run down? They wer running around constantly!

My PiP letter has finally arrived...face-to-face assessment is need (as expected) and after a bit of irritation, and a couple of phonecalls, and a LOT of calm insistance from my Mum they finally moved from an absolute no to an agreement to reconsider....and today the letter has arrived saying I WILL be assessed at home.....no date yet, but that will follow (possible with a VERY short notice for the assessment).

At the same time I have been sent an set of appointments from the hospital ....I am booked in for patch tests to test for certain allergies...it has taken 18 months for me to reach the top of the list!!!....The tests are over 5 days but I don't need to stay over - I only need be there for the relevant appointments.

And to add to all the fun I now have my new bank account set up and need to contact all the people who bay into my account to give them the new details ...usually the new bank can do all this but not with the account from my old bank....grrrrrrrrrr!

It never rains but it pours!

Hope everyone has had a good Easter weekend and that all are having realatively calm and as-healthy-as-it-gets days for a while!
