    Thanks Katkin

Today I need to get my proverbial in gear and actually pull together my statement for my draft Ill Health Retirement application before my TU rep comes back tomorrow. I think I needed to get yesterday out of the way before I could face it. Thankfully a lot of the stuff I prepped for my PIP application and MR can be copied and tweaked so shouldn't be too hard:)

I'm as stiff as a board today after all the sitting yesterday so will bottle the need to move around and give my floors a much needed sweep and mop interspersed with a snooze no doubt LOL:)

Caronc sorry you're not moving forward as you'd have liked; but hey, at least it's not backward!
I know the disappointed feeling - when I was first prescribed morphine, I thought I was actually going to be pain-free for the first time in a good few decades, and I was so disappointed that I wasn't. Yes, it does wonders, but I am still in considerable pain; and I still have little or no strength in my joints and muscles. But like you say, "it is what it is".

Anyways, Bluebell has arrived for her holiday (she's here til Saturday) so any thoughts of housework are on the back burner; she will assuredly take up most of my time and all of my energy. She's a super dog though, very sweet and loving. And she loves a game with her ball in the garden! :D

Actually, I don't think she's full Staffy; her face is more "delicate" iyswim. But she is a truly lovely dog; I'll post a pic as soon as I can get my Ph0t0bucket account to play nicely; I haven't used it in a while, and it's got the sulks with me.

    Evening all!

Caronc...take it easy it was a big day yesterday (even if the results weren't as clear cut as hoped for).

I've had a rough day today...I live in sheltered accommodation, and early this morning (as in around about 04:15ish) one of the old boys here woke up feeling peckish and thought he'd make himself a snack...a cooked snack...and he is partially sighted, and not overly confident on the kitchen....result was that at 04:30 the whole building was awoken to the blare of the fire alarm!!!....it took ages for the fire brigade to come, investigate and turn the darned alarm off...and even longer for me to get back to sleep , and when I DID manage it was not 'peaceful' sleep and I ended up getting up far too early, and feeling bleargh most of the day!

snoozer...yes, I am really BIG on routine. I am Autistic and routine is vital to me (which is why early morning fire alarms are NOT good!!!)...I like to have everything planned. There are not enough rules in the world....so I make up quite a few of my own!...to the point that I get a bit obsessive-compulsive over some things being done MY way (which is of course the right way!)....we have a visitor for coffee planned tomorrow, supposed to come at 10am - and I just know I will be getting antsy of she isn't there dead on 10! (Not early, and not late...10am she said so 10 am my brain says it should be!...Even though I can see how unreasonable it is to be so pedantic, there is that bit of my brain that starts screaming at me if things go off-plan!)

I'm now on my third day of low carbing and have been trying out new recipes to try to keep things interesting. I made a celeriac soup which had butter beans in it so was a bit more substantial than normal - I need that if I'm not eating bread with it. I also did a courgetti dish with pistachio pesto and baked ricotta which was delicious, again it was very light, but as I'm also aiming to lose weight it was good.

As well as low-carbing I'm trying to eat less meat and have bought two modern veg cookbooks which have really inspired me.

Last time I low carbed I felt the good effects very quickly bt so far this time not so much. I think my hands are less sore but I had a migraine yesterday and feel quite jaded today.

Oh gosh, I'm like that when anyone has to come here. I hate having human visitors at the best of times, I really get mega-anxious; and even when they're bringing a dog for me to look after and have a 35 mile trip to get here, I get fidgety and start to feel sick if they're so much as 2 minutes late - and if I see a strange car with a dog in it turning into our drive before the appointed time, I start panicking that I'm not ready for them - even though everything that needs to be done has been, at least an hour previously! Totally daft, but it gets me every time! :(
