    Hi all,

Hope everyone's doing better than expected.

Haras...I'm sort of guessing your name is Sarah?! I wish you well...keep on going, you're at a good age to fight ailments...plus, I believe you're moving to Austria...I am very jealous!

Lamewolf, I'd love to know what bruise balm you use...I usually rely on Witch Hazel, but I'd happily use something better! Oh and good luck with the doggies!

Candygirl...the spilt turmeric is fading! At last! Not using that stuff again, it's evil!

I've been my usual wobbly self. Due to try different tablets next week, as all I do is sleep. I'm thinking that's not such a bad thing!

    Best wishes to everyone x

Slowly patience, hun; no point in trying to "get on and get better" only to find you're not doing the right thing.

Heh - I am the original impatient patient lol.

I think after6 years of having no diagnosis and lots of 'normal' test results - to finally have not just a diagnosis, but the prognosis of improvement - I am raring to go (and they are probably just as raring to get rid of me LMAO).

I just want my life back. I honestly thought I'd let this go, but I haven't.

Sorry if I missed it slowly but what was the diagnosis. After 3 years of normal blood tests and no diagnosis other than fibro which most of my doctors don't agree is the correct one, I now always check out the symptom list when I read of someone getting a rarer diagnosis for a chronic illness in case it might solve some issues for me :rotfl:

Something which actually has a cure sounds awesome!

My diagnosis is a messy form of vestibular disorder.

  • Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good health day today! I'm at work and one of my hips is really painful... Trying to use breathing exercises and the MSE forum to overcome it :p

Haras welcome to the thread; I may be old enough to be your mum, but I know where you're coming from. My own pain started at age 17, so somewhat later than yours; but still far too young for it to be fair. Fwiw, I was diagnosed with lupus three days before my wedding - I gave DH the option to call it off (ie ditch me) but bless him, he still wanted to go ahead. :A

Haha thank you :) Oh wow now he sounds like a keeper!

Well detected, my name is indeed Sarah :) Thank you very much, gotta keep fighting! Not looking forward to Austrian winters but I got a new winter coat from Oxfam to help with that :)

I'm afraid it's not something available commercially; I got it at the Wytches Market, which is held annually here, and it was made by the lady who sold it to me. I rather suspect it's based on arnica, if that's any help. And thanks for the good wishes. :o

Aww, c'mon, sit down and have a cuppa. :coffee:

I think I deserve one, tbh; I went through 20 years of sheer hell with the ex; but I guess that helps me appreciate the one I now have. ;)
I hope your hip is a little less painful now. x
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Well I'm really glad to hear that you managed to find happiness after such a long time of suffering! That's really great to hear!
Thank you, it comes and goes, I need to get up off my bum more but where I work, I'm basically locked in a little box and there's nowhere to go and nothing to do unless I have a customer!

Nomoonatall I use Weleda arnica cutaneous oil - it's not exactly cheap but it works and is natural! My bottle has lasted me quite a while and you can use it for a massage, in the bath or just to rub it on the bits that ache. I tried it because I remember my Indian granddad using it on us as kids, so definitely has a bit of nostalgia in there too.

Thanks for that, I've bookmarked it...until I find the cheapest version to buy. By the time I can blame you if it doesn't work...you'll have escaped to Austria!

Don't look for the negatives regarding your move...look at the fact you'll have lovely fresh air, beautiful mountains, lakes and sublime chocolate and cakes! Fairyland! I'd love it...as long as they sold Marmite! That'd be a deal breaker! Keep on going and stay positive! X

    Hi Slowly,

My hospital visit last week resulted in my new consultant giving me a list of vestibular exercises. My favourite one is going up and down the stairs with my eyes closed. That's not going to happen! I fall over on flat ground with my eyes open!

Unlike you....my hair looks a bit rubbish now. I'm jealous! Hope you're okay, despite my envy! x
