Afternoon all
The house as had a swish & swipe, I used the box of broken biscuits (see earlir post) to make a no-bake tray cake, so I'll take that to work on Monday. Fed the chopped up apple to Thumper & Ogden, made rice pud with the extra milk & made sweetcorn soup with the corn on the cob, there was a recipe in the veg box, I've frozen the soup & will take for lunch next week.
Have a good one.
Hester

Hello,
Can I join you?
I'm a beginner when it comes to housework, but you ladies have inspired me to give it a go (I rely on my mum to do it).
Today DW was loaded and switched on by my OH before he left for work at 5am!
I was woken at 7am by my DD demanding a feed (5 months old and bf). Washed and dressed her by 7.45am. Fed the animals (3 cats 1 dog). Stripped our bed and DD cot. Washed DD cot bedding along with come of her clothes. Ran the hoover round the living room and hall I even moved stuff out of the way instead of just going round it.
Walked into town got some pigs ears for the dog, and a new strap put on my watch. On the return journey from town had to take a detour into a park to find a bench as DD was demanding her lunch.
I've hung out the washing and put in our sheets.
For tea tonight we're having roast chicken legs, roast potatoes, peas, carrots, sweetcorn, and gravy.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Me again. Sorry to post so many times in one day but I've just had (I think) a particularly good idea
I am going to get a daily diary/notebook type thing and wirte down all the useful information/tips./ideas etc that I get off the daily, to save me forgetting and so that I might become an OStyler and not some sort of groupie. We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
great idea Blairweech may join you on that one:j
Update on terminally ill car its in the drive feeling very sorry for itself and unfortunatly on view to all the neighbours who will naturally assume its my fault:D Goes to the [strike]knackers yard [/strike] garage on monday so I am now a proud owner of a vectra hire car which to be fair they delivered about an hour after the wreck so fairly impressive (thanks RAC insurance and thanks to Martin for the recommendation)

Hi All
Well, haven't had a minute today. Went into town on the train early doors and met DD, SIL etc and brought DGS1 & 2 home on the return train. Only £3.60 return for me and no charge for boys - cheaper than petrol, no parking charges and very civilised.
Boys have been brilliant (one wee incident with DGS2 who does not like the tidy up syndrome).
Hope all is well with you all and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your good wishes. I think I am a bit vulnerable just now so taking things a bit out of context. Have decided there are certain threads I am just going to avoid so I won't get upset.
Roll on Monday when these wee devils go home! I just love them to bits! We did magic painting this afternoon and their clothes are in the wash already.
Rather cold up here today - had to put the heating on for a while this afternoon and will probably have it on timed for the boys in the morning.
DD having a lovely birthday - just home for her day in Edinburgh with SIL and DGS3. Very civilised she said.
Love and hugs to all and do hope you are all OK.

Have had a great day, had a quick swipe round this morning, dw emptied, wm on twice and hung out, its been great weathewise and all washing dried and put away ( i don't do ironing)we went for a long walk to a local place called highdown hill, where we could sit and watch the shoreham airshow for free
, we then went looking for sloes, to make gin, have found loads, but its best to wait untill the first frost has been, makes much better gin
so will go back and get some later.
Also we made mars bar vodka !!! we made 2 ltrs from a ltr bottle of vodks, with 15 !!! marsbars in, god thats going to be fattening, but lovely

Just got the boys to bed - they were fabulous. 500 grams of mince did boys, 2 portions for us and I do think I can squeeze another two portions for us if we have a soup or cheese and biscs after. And that was yellow stickered mince. Very OS for under £1.50! It was extra lean mince too which I always buy to cut down fat content.
Very tired (but in a good way having the boys) so apologise for not reading the thread today. As said earlier, hope you are all OK and love and hugs.

Evening all,
Had a rather lazy day to-day, OH had yesterday's left over dinner and the rest of us had hm veg soup and hm quiche with the rest of the ham...both made by DD4, who is now about to bring me some apple tart, also made by her with a cup of coffee...so have done little beyond s & s bathrooms and check veg patch...planning on knitting for the rest of the night and having an early bed as we are out of eggs and something else, which I can't remember now, so will be paying Lidl a visit as soon as they open in the morning.
JackieO...sorry to hear that you are not having a great week...it will all get better soon I hope...healing of the wound is crucial, you will feel much better when that happens.
PenPin...hope that you are feeling better by now.
Nelski....hugs....get yourself checked over, its better to do it now...when all is said and done you are all that matters...cars are dispensable.
Heavenleigh....take it easy and don't get too stressed...back up you have is great and if you want to have a whinge ( usually makes me feel better when things are not as I want them) anybody here will listen and even offer advice.
Hester...the sooner that lodger takes off for good the better...I know that its a bit of extra money but would you have it easier if you just rented the room and provided breakfast in future?
Welcome to Fletch and MadDogWoman, you will like it here.
Redruby....have somewhere called highdown hill near us too...and it overlooks an airfield too. That Mars vodka sounds lethal!
MrsMCawber...you are really settling in for a siege aren't you, with all that food you can stay underground for six months! Congrats on all the exercise, and the organisation to have something in the freezer ( and to know where it was) which would just hit the spot in short time. Any news from Mum, hope that she is managing to rest as she should.
Beemuzed....sorry to hear about your mum, hopefully good news soon.
Ellie...hope that the pain eases soon.
Csarina....sorry to hear about burn, glad to hear its not painful
Grannybroon....hope that you survive the weekend with the DGSs....where does their energy come from at that age? Nice to be around to see them though isn't it. Hope that Mum is still on schedule for Monday discharge from hospital.
Forgot to climb onto lilypad to day Frogga?
Smoky, Snowy, Catowen, Odds, Queenie, and all whom we have not seen for several days...hugs, I miss you.
Night all,
