Morning,
Tru - Have a great time in Newquay! Will wave as you go past
I am borrowing a keyboard til I buy a new one. Think I will invest in one of those silicone ones so that I can't glue the keys down with tea! I must be onto my 10th keyboard by now!
Our poor little cat had a huge thorn in his paw last night. He couldn't put any weight on it and it was really inflamed, so we wrapped him in the duvet and held him and OH got some tweezers and (luckily) managed to pull it all out in one piece - it was almost an inch long :eek . Anyway, he's a bit perkier this morning - will keep an eye on it and hope it doesn't get infected.
OH's friend is staying for a couple of days apparently. Which means at least a week
So, got a couple of loads of washing to do, bit of ironing, hopefully OH will go out this avo, or do the garden, so I will try and do Ebay listings, baking and a bit of a tidy up
Have a good one :cheers:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Morning all
Well I hope your day is going significantly better than mine. Just been to Asda and on the way back a man decided that looking as he turned out of his side road was not necessary:rolleyes: My car is a twisted wreck
Apart from a massive case of the shakes I am ok I think and so was he but I rather suspect the car will be in intensive care with a poor prognosis.
Can we start today again please:o0 -
Morning all and big hugs to those with poorly cars and cats with extras for Heavenleigh, pp and jackieO and help yourself anyone I've missed.
Lovely night out with friends last night but we over indulged and am suffering now. we have decided that we will go out more often so we don't go mad with the novelty of being out after dark every time.
My babygirl is 11 today - bless her she was still up when I got in last night so I could say happy birthday at midnight. I told her that she is not officially 11 until about half time this afternoon. We are going to the pub to watch liverpool (her first team) and then to Brentford to watch the Bees (her second team and my one and only) where they will read out her name at half time ... hopefully. She has gone off with her Dad to buy her present - a nintendo ds I think - he is hopelessly unorganised. She also got cards from grandparents (with a tenner) and her dad's gf. middle dd is coming to mine while we are at the footie with £30 worth of goodies for a surprise tea. Busy day then .... shame about the hangover -I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Morning all :hello:
What a beautiful autumn day - I'm so happy to have the cold mornings and golden leaves back again.
Am currently in a whirlwind of cooking & cleaning ready for the week ahead. Just about to start tonight's tea and then clean the kitchen floor and I can put my feet up with the papers for an hour...
Hope everyone has a productive but leisurely day0 -
Hi Folks
haven't posted here for at least a couple of weeks - term has started with a bang and boy, do I get tired these days! This last week has been a nightmare - Mum (down in Dorset) had a stroke on Monday, so I whizzed down to see her for a couple of days, but had to then race back for various meetings - on the evening the M3 was closed for a while. Quite proud of fact that I managed to work out a detour which only added about an hour to the journey time. Too early to have much idea of the eventual degree of recovery for her.
Anyway, I've missed you all, so am trying to crawl back on the os wagon this weekend. (Other members of family with Mum just now, so am here at home today.)
Tesco shop done - and cheaper than expected. Washing on line. Now to walk the dogs. Take care, all.Resolution:

Good morning everyone
This is a really nice thread and I thought I'd join in. I love to know what everyone's up to at the same time as me, it's awfully interesting. A bit like peering in windows as you go past on the bus (or is that just me?:o )
As DH sleeps (nightshift) and DS watches telly (denying he's eating those Opal Fruits) I've been online all morning. Am ashamed to say no DW loaded/unloaded, no WM filled/emptied/hung out, no clean loo, no vacuumed floors.
I have though found some shopping bargains today having visited my fave website (bar this obviously) madaboutbargains.co.uk I now know where they're selling Muller Rice 6 for £1.26 (Morrisons), Ritz Crackers 2 for 88p, Princes Tuna 4x185g for £1.50 and Bird's Eye Omega 3 12 pack fish fingers for £1 (all Tesco) so am v happy.
One more coffee and then I'll have a think about getting out of my jammies.
I wish you all a happy safe day.:DGrocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -

Nels I hope you're ok. The shakes will probably last a while. Try not to worry about the car. You are unhurt physically and that's the main thing.
No time to post anything else but I'll try to get back later.
