Petrol - no means to pay declaration?

I bet some log is made linking fuel card to car registration to avoid fraud - if this was ever found out by the owner of the fuel card it would be almost certain dismissal and possible criminal charges.
Every fuel card I've ever had has had the registration number on it, and if I've had to fill up a hire car or something similar, I've had to pay and reclaim on expenses.0 -

Its up to the company. In RM every unit using fuel cards has a 'wild card' AKA bearer card.
This isnt tied to any vehicle.0 -
Do what the advert says when you've got no dosh. Call Quick Quid and pay the 1200% per second interest rate. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Well yes, I know that - but the OP was talking about a company provided car - a habitual company car user will typically, as in my experience, always have a VRM-specific card. Where there's a large fleet, open cards are more common, as there's more likelihood of vehicles changing more quickly.0 -

Replacing an interest free loan with 1200%apr loan makes no sense0 -

I have had company car and fuel card for 14 years, never had a registration on it.
Some garages do question it0 -

Now the people in the petrol station know me, know I only ever pay with Keyfuels.
Basically just went to put £50 of petrol in, as normal, came to the cash desk and the cashier says "I know you always pay with Keyfuels, but we don't accept them anymore" - SO WHY DID YOU STAND THERE AND WATCH ME FILL UP MY TANK AND NOT COME OUT AND LET ME KNOW BEFORE YOU TURNED THE PUMP ON?????
Anyhow, I've just been made to sign a "Declaration - no means to pay" form, and have 7 days to pay the amount.
I don't have £50 lying around, and am struggling to afford food for my family as it is!?!
More !!!!ed off that they petrol station is still called a "Key Store", and the cashier purposely let me put the £50 in, knowing full well I never pay cash.
Anyone had experience of the declaration?? I am really worried as it says they will call the Police if I don't pay it within 7 days? I physically don't have the money to pay it!!
My missus works for Keyfuels and said that cardholders are advised to go into the store to validate the card prior to filling up to avoid this issue. seems like a lot of effort to put some fuel in the car, but they apparently put this advice on leaflets and ppw sent out with cards0
