Break Journey to NZ - Too expensive?

I think it would be better for you to support, rather than to try to play worthless games.
I'm not playing games. I doubt the OP would be able to understand any Gal result I posted as it would be in German.
I merely suggested the Emirates and NZ options to give the OP a bench mark, and at the end of the day, it depends which locations the OP would like to break their trip in. The World is their oyster on this one and we can't second guess, only make suggestions.
Personally, if flying East, I'd be interested in Tokyo as an intinerary with Finnair would offer shorter flight times that via Dubai. Again personally, I'd look at breaking in Singapore.
Flying West, your best options are breaking in LAX and Honolulu. The second time I did this trip, I cut the costs by getting the cheapest possible flight to Las Vegas, then a bargain bucket fare with Delta to LAX (second scariest flight of my life) and a cheap Hawaiian ticket to Honolulu.
I'm only here to try and help the OP, not to support someone who is confrontational. I don't play those games and it's very unprofessional.0 -

One of your suggestions China Southern, does.
One of them :rotfl:
Perhaps you didn't notice, but it was RHemmings who asked about China Southern in post number 17.
I included it, because of the option to fly from Birmingham, their closest viable airport.
They were looking at prices of £595 per person. So I don't think your ridiculous suggestion of a itinerary priced at £1541 per person will fly.
So I priced up itinerary as close to their expected price as possible.
My personal choice would be MH at £914. But that might be outside their budget. Your banging on about narrow seat 787 doesn't put money in their pocket.
They can afford whatever they can afford.
This is a website dedicated to saving money. Has that simple fact escaped you?0 -
I'm not playing games....very unprofessional.
Unprofessional? You already went there in asking me to do something that you could not do yourself. Just a silly, confrontational game.
The fact is you have not come up with even a single priced up itinerary. Not a single one. That is the reality.
Your suggestions are totally unhelpful. as clearly MH via Kuala Lumpur offers far better flying times and better value than FinnAir ever could....and you claim to be an expert.
Would have been better if you'd kept that quiet.0 -
... the option to fly from Birmingham, their closest viable airport....
Useless advice. It's not viable, it just adds in another connection at AMS and adds in missed connection risk....it was RHemmings who asked about China Southern....Your banging on about narrow seat 787 doesn't put money in their pocket...
It highlights what they are getting for their money, you uselessly posted numerous China Southern itineraries and stayed silent on this very important issue, uselessly clogging this thread with useless content. Bad Advice.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Useless advice. It's not viable, it just adds in another connection at AMS and doesn't save anything compared to Heathrow, and adds in missed connection risk.
What you mean like flying via Helsinki and Tokyo with FinnAir?? :rotfl: Tell me how many stops are involved in getting to Auckland there. :rotfl:
Some of the most crazy posts ever by you and your new friend.
Come on, I post viable itineraries, not silly unworkable fantasies.0 -
I put in Birmingham to Auckland on 1st April on Emirates
And the standard fares are showing flight options with 8 or 13 hours in Dubai.
I haven't read the whole thread - but this might be helpful0
