whilst I may agree we have a loony benefits system it is the case that the EU gave us the choice
-changing our chosen laws for our 'own ' citizens
    or
-give benefits to EU citizens as well

so NO we didn't chose to give these benefots to foreigners it was forced on us by the EU.

    No, that is incorrect.

We have a trade agreement with the USA and Canada through the EU.

We have free trade within the EU, which is our biggest market.

We are going to be out of the EU and will have trade agreements with no one.

America and Australia have said we'll be at the back of a long line.

The EU are looking like they are going to give us a worse deal after BREXIT than countries that have nothing to do with them.

Little England Brexiteers are about to get a lesson in how little, England really is.

Unfortunately the other 48% of us are going to have to sit in class too.

good to see toxic toastie celebrating the triumps of interantional crony capitalism and neoliberalism

next he might be talking to his parents.
progress comes in the strangest ways

Are you saying you approve of fencing people in to the area they were born?

    What a ridiculous response.

Typical, can't answer a simple question so tries to throw a deflection back. Very very weak.

Are you actually Clapton's second account or is he just your hero and you've emulated his endless nonsense question?

so you are now claiming we can leave our benefits system unchanged but still refuse benefits to EU nationals (not that I necessarily approve)

    Er, nope.
Clapton is correct; there is much written about this but here is one piece, from The Telegraph:

Loving the top comment on that article.
Total tripe, man! Or woman, beg thy pardon. The truth is people, are entitled to benefits. Who knows who will need them? They are there because we are a democracy.

    Entitled...
    entitled
    adjective
believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.

We're coming at it from different views. Reform of our benefits system was entirely in our own hands. We could have moved to a contribution based benefits system if we wanted, nothing to do with the EU.

The EU stance is pretty straight forward. No discrimination against any EU citizen.

so we can't maintain our benefits system as it is and also deny EU immigrant unlimited access.
