I have to disagree, the W10 update just appeared today with no prior advice that it was going to be a major change that would have some adverse impact on my setup. It wasn't a significant problem for me to resolve, but I can imagine plenty of people will be rather confused by what happens.0 -

Linux Mint is a much better operating system than Windows. Easy and stable. Gets the job done.
I ain't hijacking though i have gone through 6 W10 updates and 2 fedoras and well I prefer Aspalls to rum:beer:;)The anniversary update caused no problems on the four machines I updated.

Win10 is basically MS trying to make people use their PCs the way MS wants them to and because it was "free", they pretty much do what they like.
It should be removing files though, it might change some settings and default programs, but it shouldn't be deleting stuff.
Chap I work with allowed his laptop to update to Win10, sometime last week he was working on a really important project, lot's of CAD work, he left his desk to get a cup of tea, came back to find Win10 updating itself, he lost several hours worth of work.
But this isn't unique to Win10, Win7 does this too, unless you tweek some group policy settings.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
