Lucy, look at what you have done in the last year. Nearly 4 stone in weight is a very large amount. Its impossible for you to have failed us as you are the inspiration for all of us mere mortal dieters, to see what could be achieved if we put our minds to it.
You should be celebrating how far you've come not worrying about the last stubborn couple of lbs. It'll happen.... and if it doesn't? So what, you'll still have lost a phenomenal amount of weight and be much, much healthier for it. :T
Personally I'm struggling myself now I'm approaching the 90kg mark. I keep feeling like its not working and I'm not doing enough to shift it, but I'll increase my exercise to everyday and I'll stick even more rigidly to the plan and if I don't lose those extra 2kg by Christmas then although I'll be upset with myself I'll get over it. Remember its a new year / new start come 21 days time. A whole new year to reinvent yourself and do everything you ever wanted to do.
Thank you. I'm trying to get back into it today. Although a colleague brought in some chocolate orange cake, I have had the tinyest slice.
But I'm trying to find reasons to keep losing (I have about another 3 stone to go) One of my cousins is 21 beginning of Feb and I will be staying in a really nice hotel for the night and I want to lose at least half a stone by then and then I have a uni reunion (5 years since graduation) and I want to be at target (10 stone) by then. Which I think should be doable, but I can't wait until the new year, for some reason I keep thinking everything will be fine in 2008!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Well Done!!!
I have nearly given up. I am so stressed about it my slimming consultant has promised to not weigh me until I am feeling better.
I have failed you all! But I am going to try and be better from now on. I feel all fat and horrible, I looked at myself in a mirror yesterday and I looked like I had put on loads of weight!!!
Lucy you have NOT FAILED (sorry for shouting there!) - you are just going though a bit of a bad time (join the proverbial club!) and we are here for you if you need to vent a bit.
Me well - Mutter, grumble, whinge, mutter - blasted pain killers!
Three pounds on this week - need to try and get back below 21 stone next week with Yule and the New Year celebrations coming up! So trust my Lucy you are not alone in all this!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Thats because it will be. I know it would be nice to be at your target weight for these things, but will you enjoy them any less if you aren't? People will still be amazed at how different you look and you can still wear a slinky dress to the reunion and a naughty nighty to the hotelI just feel so fat and bloated and I know it is no where near as bad as it once was. I think that feeling is all too familiar to most of us on here. and as for the "no where near as bad" not in the same hemisphere as bad would be more like it.
Honestly, some perspective is all you need and maybe a fat suit so you remember what it was like being so much more overweight than you are now
Sorry if I sound harsh but sometimes I think we get too involved in the whole diet way of thinking and we need to realise that while it may be nice to be at our "correct weight in proportion to our height" getting on with life and enjoying every single day is what really matters.
Just my 2 penneth worth.:A:A:A:A:A:A0 -

Not harsh at all. Well I actually got on the scales  and I have my new starting weight. I know that I will enjoy these events at this weight, I would just love to be a size 10 (I can dream) for my reunion in September (I was a 20 at uni)
I think a fat suit might be a good idea, or bags of sugar... see if I can actually lift the weight I have lost.
Amazingly given the gain I am feeling ok, I won the raffle and have a lovely box of veggie's downstairs to eat my way through. I have made a nice fruit salad for lunch tomorrow and I am going to have cheesy egg on toast for breakfast... Me too (I was a size 20 at uni too, that is).
I just saw your new weight, I'm really sorry sweetheart, that must be crushing, I know if I found I had gained over a stone back I would cry and run to the nearest chocolate shop. Be brave though, you lost it once, you can do it again. Maybe some of us can help motivate you like you have with us? We can all do it together!
My fat is stupid, it refuses to believe I'm doing more exercise and eating less calories. I've deliberately been really strict with myself for the last 4-5 days and I got on the scales this morning and it says I've put on a kilo! Its not an official weigh in though (PHEW!) so I shall have to wait and see what Saturday brings.:A:A:A:A:A:A0 -

Amazingly I am ok, I've had a really good Slimming World day. only had 1 syn and I can have up to 15, so doing well. I know I can do it, I just need to take little steps. The first one is to lose that half a pound and get back to having lost 3 stone. Then we will go from there.
But I have my slimming book with me and I am keeping a food diary so I know exactly what I am eating. I'm just going to take it one day at a time. I have works Xmas party on Thursday and possibly a take away with friends Saturday night. But I can manage that.
