well I've just weighed myself and have put on 2 pounds! Boo! I've been to the gym 4 times this week and run 7K each time - soooo not fair. But as I sat down and thought about it although I've not been snacking like I used to I've been out for lunch a couple of times and "treated" myself both times. This week I'll behave myself although I have another celebratory lunch to go to I'll make sensible choices and no more wine either.Mortgage OP 2025 £7700/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Skint, sometimes my weight loss seems to lag by a week - I have no idea why, but I can be really good all week, but the weight wont come off until the following week. Maybe that will happen to you to?
Safesound - that's brilliant, you will be in those jeans WELL before Xmas!!
MissKJ, I don't know much about lighterlife, but fishface has lost an incredible amount on it, maybe she could give you some info. I tried Slimfast once, and I lost a bit, but the shakes got a bit boring after a couple of weeks."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Oh, forgot to say, I have completely emptied my wardrobe today and thrown out everything that was too big, everything that was too frumpy, everything that was threadbare, and all my baggy maternity clothes. Then I put both remaining items back in. :rotfl:
So there's no going back now, I HAVE to keep the weight off!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Evening all - just popped on and noticed I have a number, so I'm official! Couldn't have come at a better time, the last time I felt my stomach this big I was pregnant (I'm definately not
) so I have to do something.
Now I do inches (perhaps centimetres - metric moves quicker :rotfl: :rotfl: )rather than pounds - because I'm heavy anyway - when I was a size 10 I was 9.5 stone (5ft 4) and everyone said that wasn't possible but I WAS a size 10 (Oh those were the days:D ) and I WAS 9.5 stone! I'm now size 14/16 (tight 14 - loosish 16) and am currently (I'm whispering now) 13 stone   (Oh the shame
). Never been this heavy even when pregnant (and I've been pregnant 4 times!!).
Sorry to go on I'm trying to get motivated - Jo's stop smoking thread helped me quit the ciggies (3 months now - :j ) so I'm hoping this one will inspire me to loose the [STRIKE]lbs[/STRIKE] I mean inches/cms!!! Will post my measurements later, otherwise this thread will fill a hole page :rotfl: :rotfl: ! Thanks for having me.
love and hugs
IDA

Thanks for the thought Snaggles but I think if you saw the size of the burrito I attempted to eat the other day you'd be shocked!
Maybe I should try the measurements thing though as my boobs have definitely shrunk and arms are losing their bingo wings...

hi all,
I go back to work in less than 2 weeks so i decided to try on my work trousers, oh dear!!! They are too tight. I can zip them up if i don't breathe can't spend all day not breathing so I have even more incentive to lose weight. I don't want to buy more trousers so wish me luck0 -
I know I'm late, but can I join too? I'd *like* to lose 2 stone before Christmas....
Will be starting tomorrow, by going to buy a new set of scales - OH broke mine by standing on them funny (although he's more like my other two thirds - me being 4'11" and him being 6'0"!)
With regards to lighterlife - I know a couple of people who've done it and lost loads, but due to the cost they've switched to the Cambridge Diet instead - same theory but more like £30 a week instead of £60 odd - you still get counselling too.
Also, I think the Dragon mentioned Weight Loss Resources - have you tried fitday? It's an American site and it's really similar but free! It doesn't have all the UK products listed, but all the basics - you can also add products yourself, so mine can now breakdown the protein/carbs/fat of a birdseye vegetable finger!Aim - debt free (excluding mortgage) by 30.... 3 years, and four months to go...

"weighed up" lighter life and Cambridge diet, you are right Snaggles, Fishface has done brilliantly on this diet, but really don't think I could do it. I mean, NO FOOD for maybe 4 months?? Can't be good for you. Resigned to having to do it the healthy way, and be patient in the process. At the end of the day, I may need to lose aroud 4 stones, but even a 2 stone loss by party season will make a big difference. So no more messing around, tomorrow is a new day 1.unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].
