Catriona good to 'see' you. I too use the LA roche posay one. Pleased that life is better now
Thanks Maddie, good to see you're still around too! I havn't forgotten your support and kindness during my dark days
Thanks to Hermia too for the recommendation, have now bought the Roche Posay one and will see how it works while I'm away!
This probably counts as unnecessary (and I hate to be an enabler!) but I'm considering buying a beauty advent calendar again this year. I had the Benefit one last year but found most of their products don't suit me so gave the majority away! Does anyone have their eye on a good one this year? I almost feel with the amount of stash I have I should just make my own to use products up!"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -
I've decanted two 500ml bottles of Avon bubble bath into an almost empty 1lt bottle so I've basically minimised two bottles from my stash.
Hope everyone is well.SPC~12 ot 124

I've not seen this years, but the You Beauty advent calendar is a good one. I got it in the January sale a couple of years back and it was amazing value with really good products, and a lot of money off vouchers.
This was the 2015 one: http://www.you.co.uk/the-ultimate-indulgence-you-beauty-advent-calendar/
If you were so inclined, you could make your own with existing products to help you to use them up :rotfl:Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -

I don't think many details are out yet on this years?
I didnt get one last year, but if I had, it would have been the You Beauty one like pinkfluffybabe or the LookFantastic one.
(Last years: https://www.zoella.co.uk/2015/11/best-of-beauty-advent-calendars-2015.html)
I would have loved the Liberty one too, but I couldn't justify spending that much
I think there was a really good one from M&S too - but all the good ones sold out REALLY quickly.
Edit: here's last year's M&S one - I would have been very happy with that! http://www.marksandspencer.com/christmas-advent-calendar/p/p22428282?&pdpredirect#0 -

*Stern face*
Catriona_P, pinkfluffybabe and fixx, get in line!
*Smacks hands*
You have too many toiletries as it is. Don't even *THINK* about buying a beauty advent calendar!
Although, partial smack reprieve to pinkfluffybabe, what a brilliant idea to make your own! :T How many of us have got samples that could be made into an advent calender? 24 of the best decorated nicely would be a good use-up event. Perhaps we could post picture if we decorate them nicely and do it proper Advent calender stylee?:jPlease call me 'Pickle'

Another UU! *Smug face*
Champneys Spa Treatment Citrus Blush Hand Lotion (250ml).
WIBA? Well, this really is rather nice. It's nice and thick (but not too thick) and smells lovely - one of my workmates is completely in love with it it's that nice, so I have to share it around. However, I have my doubts as to whether it would be quite as nice if I bought it now. I bought this the January sale before last and then bought the Energising Lime version this year. Unfortunately, lovely as the lime version smells, it doesn't feel anywhere as nice on the skin - it feels very plasticy - and I have a horrible feeling that Champneys may have done as so many companies do and replace the ingredients of their products with cheaper ones once their reputation has expanded.
Either that, or the lime on is *way* less good than the citrus one! Please call me 'Pickle'

Thankyou everyone for the support, means a lot :happyhear
Solicitor confirmed that i am being discriminated against and he said it is a fundamental breach of contract and also that the relationship of trust that exists between employer and employee has been damaged (trust as in trusted them to allow me to do my job safely and make adjustments, having been there for a long time). GP has writen me off sick for both depression and because she said its unsafe for me to go back to work there. In the meantime solicitor wants me to write a letter of grievance explaining how the way i have been treated has affected me and that all parties (myself, GP, solicitor) believe that a reasonable adjustment would be to have me do shifts in some capacity at old care home where ive always worked and can manage the shifts, with an extra break and my shifts split up where possible. He said no reasonable employer could ignore a letter like this and that it will usually trigger a meeting where i can put my views accross again. He said failing this, it then becomes constructive dismissal as they have made it unsuitable for me to return to work = we then take them to tribunal for disability discrimination if i cannot get the adjustments made so i can return to work. He said under equality act and law in general relating to disability they must make changes to allow me to work, including moving able bodied staff around if necessary. I dont want to cause trouble, but i also do need to work, and having been there 5 years i do expect some kind of consideration. :-/ dont want to take them to tribunal, would mych rather have my job back and a bit of financial stability, but at same time if they wont give me the adjustments then i must stop them doing this to someone else in the future, cant just resign and let them get away with bullying me out of my job. There is no legal aid available now which might be a problem, but he said we will look at the options if it gets to it. :-/
Deleted_User- ive read on facebook that pop in the bath is returning and wont be discontinued, so thats good news at least!!
Anyway i have a few uus and a few ins. Not doing so well atm with being at friends house - feel bad using his water so washing my hair every other day (really hate this!) and not getting my 2 showers a day like i normally do at homeso its taking longer to uu stuff. But getting through a few samples so its a start. Just want to be moved in and back to normality (well, some kind of anyway!)
Uu:
Lush dont rain on my parade shower gel sample- WBA and alreafy have got full size stashed. I habe to be in the mood for this one but do like it. Its strongly scented so only need a little and it lingers on the skin.
Lush so white shower gel 100g- WMBA i do have a 250g in stash but not sure this was a favourite. It just smelled too sharp/sour for my liking. I was hoping itd be a sweet apple scent and it isnt. Its ok, but not a favourite by lush. I found it quite watery too.
Avon far away roll on deodorant- WBA on offer - nice enough, like the scent and does the job well.
And ins, ran out of roll on deodorant and needed some more face wipes ad only have half a packet left. (All my stuff is in storage container) so i have x 4 ins.
2 x primark gentle face wipes (pink packet)
Sure cotton dry roll on deodorant

Been looking through sept thread from last year & it makes me sad at how different things were then, last year i was all excited about the run up to christmas and getting my halloween toiletries out :-/ this year im dreading it because of the uncertainty with my work/finances. :-/ just spoilt it all really. In previous threads i moaned about really trivial things, like being off work sick with flu for a week. At least then i actually had a job to go back to.
i should not have moaned, i actually didnt have it bad in hindsight!! I cant be on sick forever, but cant go back to an unsuitable job where i could get very hurt either and that causes me pain. :-/ i think this is going to be a nightmare year and christmas is probably going to be hard for us, but hopefully next year will be better. It just feels hard because this is normally when i feel at my happiest and this year things are so uncertain - my job, whether the house will fall through, our finances etc. Just argh. I cannot wait to just get in a bath again, my own bath, with my lush stuff. Its the one thing that makes me feel better. Feeling rather impatient. Cant wait to be re united with all my stuff and get stuck into the challenge again. I guess if worst comes to worst and i have no job ill really get stuff used up and then enjoy myself and get lots of lush next christmas when ive sorted myself out. Got a few little bits my friend is looking after for me, but probably wont be able to afford to try one of everything like i was planning, guess for the sake of my stash thats a good thing though!!
Anyone else look through old threads to reminisce? Or is just me being weird:rotfl:

I sooooo want someone to buy me a liberty beauty advent calendar! I too need to resist buying a calendar (never have but I'd love to!!).
Gemzie it sounds like you are doing so fantastically well handling all of your work troubles. Well done for tackling them it all sounds horrendous. A good friend of mine from my old job is having challenges too. She's been signed off sick for a long time due to work stress and then depression and my old work are being quite useless at supporting her to return and tackling the workload issues that have led to it.
Back to beauty....
