Thank you very much for that. I'm wondering though,if thats only for Sky Broadband issues only.

I've had water coming in via the sky cable and its ruined the telly and I can't even get sky now.

Are you saying water got inside the cable, or is it coming down the outside of it. There should be a loop in the cable on the outside wall where it comes in. How did it ruin the TV the cable plugs into the back of the Sky Box?

Have you got Sky out to fix the problem?
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Try sealant in the meantime - prob about £3 from B & Q if it's only the outside of the cable.

This is the great part- water is actually inside the cable! Our sky dish is on the back of the roof, the magic eye installers threw a cable over the roof and into our bedroom. The wind and rain have eroded the cable over time and water now gets in. We discovered this because we kept noticing water underneath the telly. The magic eye stopped working then the telly reception went. The cable has the sealant on already so I did pulled out the cable from the back of the telly and water was litterally dripping out of it. Crazy ehh? I believe from research over the net that this is standard installation practice would you believe?

Anyway, Result! I got a reply within hours from James' Murdochs team- I can have a free service call to fix it or a £65 credit. So I'm happier now, thanks for the help.
