Believe me, rj, if I could squeeze into your suitcase I would, but I think I’d be excess baggage!
lantanna, I’m sorry you’re not in a SW frame of mind just now. We’ll all miss you while you’re away from here. Don’t leave it too long before you drop in again.
Congrats on your loss, mrsp.
Meant to say, Betty, ‘cat cuddler’ is a fab job description.
Well, tonight went awry. I was bang on plan tonight too – all set for my egg and chips etc. I was just checking the chips before cooking the eggs when the electricity went off! And it stayed off until 9.30pm. So dinner was chips with beetroot and pickled onions. I didn’t have any tuna or cold meat left. So I had a yum yum that I’d bought for grandchildren tomorrow. Oh well, it was better than DH’s suggestion that he drive into town for fish and ships. So I’m writing off all of today’s syns. Disappointed.
I’ll be back tomorrow for a fresh start.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
I am really unimpressed with the online ......if I hadn't flirted with SW before I wouldn't have a clue as there is very little explanation and absolutely nowhere can I see how many syns I can have its awful.
A bit of googling says 10-15 syns . Does that sound about right ? Or too many ?
I think I'll be DIYing it once the 3 months is up. Shame cos I'd have happily gone on paying if it was user friendly. (I work in broadband support so am reasonably techy so I don't think it's me being dim)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Morning, well done to everyone that has had a loss.
Lantanna I know how you feel as I felt the same until recently. Give yourself a break and come back when you feel ready
Last night I decided to try something different. People at group suggested mixing options chocolate with quark for a cheesecake type dessert. I didn't have options so I used a nescafe coconut latte sachet. I ate as an accompaniment to my muffins. It was ok, but I think the white choc options is better.
I have been on plan for 2 days in a row. It's day 3.
B: bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans.
L: ham salad with feta cheese (HEA)beef and lentil curry, basmati rice and veg for speed.
Syns will involve Weetabix muffins using my HEB as well. I am allowed 20 Syns per day.0 -

SW recommend you have between 5 and 15 syns per day unless you have a lot of weight to lose in which case you can have up to 20. I believe men can have more too.
The SW site isn't very user friendly at all, you really have to search for things you want, I certainly wouldn't want to pay their online fees just for that. It's very easy to DIY - lots of the regulars here do it with the support of the thread and the information that's available from other sources, it's definitely possible to do it.

Morning all
Thanks for the chart Shala and well done rjhammond for SOTW.
Maman - I do keep a food diary, I think it's more about being complacent and 'forgetting' how many syns I've had. If I stuck to plan 100% it might work.
Lantanna - sorry to hear you're struggling at the moment. I hope you find your mojo soon. Take care.
I'm off to the doctors soon, I've got a problem with my ears and I keep feeling sick and dizzy. I haven't got any pain so I don't think it's an infection, maybe I've got a blockage.
Have a good day everyone.

Happy and shocked to report a 2lb loss please Shala

Hiya everyone
I'm back from my hols with a slight tan, a bunch of mozzy bites and unfortunately a 7lb gain :eek: So annoyingly I'm almost back to where I started before I had my little break from SW a few months ago. I reckon the gain is about 80% bread as we ended up eating it every day, and 20% ice cream! I just laughed when I stood on the scales as it was expected so no point crying over it - I had a fantastic holiday so it was all worth itI've also gained my first nephew :j my SIL ended up being 5 days overdue while we were away and I get to go and meet the little guy later this week which I'm so excited about.
Back on the wagon today, it's a speed free house here with no Mr Ts delivery until tomorrow so doing a little mini top up shop later today. I'm hoping to get rid of most of that gain for next week as I have lots of catching up to do!
No idea what's been happening with you all as there's 21 pages to read (which I may do with a cuppa later on) but I hope everyone's well. Hugs to those who need them, congrats to the losers and SOTWs who I've missed.
Hopefully back tomorrow with meal plans etc0 -
Thanks you lovely lot!
Off to weigh in now! Think I'm going to have to scoff down some
Porridge other wise I won't have had anything today! Oops x0 -
Ah well just think what number it could have been Candyapple (ooo just had a mental picture of Miss Abby pop into my head now there's an inspiration for not eating junk food ) if you hadn't lost before you went away. You know you can do it again.
Lois vertigo is horrid, there's a head tilting exercise you can do that really helps. Get your GP to show you.
Today is my Monday work wise so need to be really organised with food as I work from home so the kitchen is always temptingly close.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Can't remember if I thanked you for that recipe Lush, going to cook it tomorrow for breakfast when I have a bit more time
I think you didI always do mine the night before now and eat it cold with a dollop of quark and some speedy fruit

What type and size of pan/bowl do you cook it in?
Thank you!
I actually use one of the plastic rectangular boxes from the take away (also available to purchase) and I find it easiest to clean afterwards. if not one of those then just a cereal bowl. the person who I got the recipe from said it was a mug cake but if that's the case for them their mugs are huge! I'm guessing they just called it that as you microwave it.
Hit and miss weekend but its ok. I'm back on it
Brekafast; heb fruit and fibre with 120ml semi skimmed from hea. apple
lunch: small ham salad (free ham, cherry toms, lettuce, cucumber, green pepper) I've bought in 2.5syn of light may to use in case I fancy it. followed by strawberries
tea: I have beef in ale in the slow cooker (from an asda cby sachets = 5syn for whole sachet) which is beef, onions and carrots. i'll probably have it with broccoli, cauli (if I can get some on lunch) and swede (Yorkshires/potatoes for the others). works out at 2syns
syns: above + 2 pink panther wafers (4syn) plus potentially a hot chocolate if I get everything done (2syn)
I want to keep around and average of 10/11 syns max now until the wedding if I can!
body magic: walk in to town to the bank/shop at lunch as I have some coins to change to notes************************************
