Well done, candyapple, beanie (wow), Denise and Midge.

I ended up eating 9 pieces of shortbread last night. No idea why.

Soooo... I think getting the last lb ain't gonna happen for me this week. This evening I went to the pub, had a kopparberg.. Then half of my friends kopparberg. Then chicken fried rice and 2 poppadoms from the Chinese. Oh for goodness sake. Will only have a few Syns a day until next weigh in.

In my defence, it was my 25th birthday! Lol xx

    Happy Birthday RJ!

Considering it was your birthday I think you were quite restrained.... :T You could easily lose a lb this week if you get back on plan straightaway, but if you don't, it won't be so bad, you only get one birthday a year after all.

Have a syn free birthday cake. :D

The Ninja arrived again last night - ended up eating 4 wraps and 2 slices of toast. Nothing in the wraps and a smidge of butter on the toast. Obviously it wanted carbs....Think I know why though - it's our wedding anniversary tomorrow and DH keeps saying he's planned something exciting. I hate surprises but at the same time don't really want to know what he's got planned and it's stressing me out. Last year my colleagues planned a really lovely afternoon tea hen party thing and I knew something was happening, but again didn't really know what and ended up in the bathroom throwing up about 10 minutes before all the fun started. It appears that this year it's manifesting itself in extreme tiredness and nausea coupled with a craving for carbs.

Going to try and stick to plan today -

    B - Porridge (HEB & 1/2 HEA), 2 apples
L - Lentil and veg soup, clementines
D - Sausage casserole, cheesy mash (1/2 HEA) and veg
    S - Popcorn (2.5 syns)

    Morning all

I haven't posted much this week, I'm struggling to stay on plan at the moment for lots of reasons (none of them valid I hasten to add). Somehow weekend wine syns didn't stop at the weekend and now here we are, it's Friday again.

So, it's Day One for me again and I'm thinking of NOT drinking this weekend.... not sure DH will back me up though. I'll suggest he has beer instead.

[STRIKE]Half m[/STRIKE]My problem this week has been down to poor planning - I bought fish/meat items and speed veg so it was just a matter of writing a meal plan but for some reason it's all gone by the board and although my main meals have been fine, I've ended up having too many HEBs by having them for breakfast and lunch. Then yesterday I had to meet a supplier at 7.30 so I decided to have breakfast afterwards in the shop, but ended up having 2 slices of thick sliced white bread, toasted with butter and marmalade.. because it was there... :o

It's gone a bit quiet here, I hope everyone hasn't joined me in going off the rails.

Well done to everyone that is still on plan and reporting in with great weightlosses - Beanie, Debbie, Candyapple, Denise and Midge.

Debbie - Monday will be the end of the current challenge, the new challenge starts on Tuesday 1st November. Shala will put the call out for everyone's target loss for the new challenge soon, or if you want to post yours now, do it Big, Bold and Bright and she'll pick it up.

Have a good day everyone, and a good weekend. It's our last one :j we close at lunchtime on Monday. :j I might need to have a drink to celebrate that on Monday night. :rotfl: (There's a trend here.)

Good luck at WI tonight lush, you do seem to have a had a good week so here's hoping:).

Well I was right it doesn't seem to have helped me make any progress. just 0.5lb off to end the current challenge :(

I will admit to some emotional eating happening in the car on the way home because I was so upset last night.

Trying to dust myself off today and think of new strategies. I've been having a can of fizzy pop (all zero ones so free) every day which isn't something I'd usually have - I'd normally have one or two glasses of it a week max - so I might try cutting that out for a few days this week. Hopefully efforts will show next week

    so today:
getting ready: cup of tea (milk from hea)
breakfast (at work): melon, strawberries, grapes
lunch: last of left over lasagne (6 syns), satsuma
mid afternoon: carrot cake - counting 21 syns
at work event (a vip bar reopening): diet coke. I'm turning down the free kebab
tea (at home): super speedy and free chilli with rice and served with quark.
    evening nibbles: melon chunks

OH goes away tonight once I get home so free to eat/do what I want over the weekend. current thoughts are chilli tonight, fish with veggies on Saturday (may try one of the recipes from the website for 'batter') and then I think I will get a whole chicken for sunday and do it in the slow cooker. I'm going to try and learn a bit of crochet this weekend (as I really want a ripple blanket!) and we are off to story and paint at the pottery place tomorrow morning and I'd like to batch cook a couple of sw cottage pies and soup for the freezer if I can. Might try a pasta bake-esq lasagne (i.e no white sauce, measured cheese on top, homemade tomato sauce but layered with lasagne sheets not done with penne/similar)

Have a hug lush:A. I don't think there's much wrong with your strategy. You've done really well this week since you did your big shop. It'll definitely come good soon and with your DH away you can get this week off to a great start!

I find a bit of mature grated cheese on the top of a dish makes all the difference for quite a small amount of cheese especially if you've got plenty of flavour from the herbs and seasoning in the dish itself so all you need is a crunchy top. Try having fruit teas or Ribena through the day instead of milky drinks to offset the cheese.

Happy Birthday rj. It's tough getting those last pounds off before target. It took me weeks and it wasn't even my birthday:). I applaud you for taking yourself in hand at 25. Some people are still getting off baby weight when their babies are older than your are!:rotfl:

Sorry to hear worrying about your surprise is stressing you ruby. I'm sure your DH means well. Focus on making a plan for next week:) and try to enjoy the weekend.

I think it's probably quiet because it's half term lois. You're coming to the end of a long season so a bit of a celebration is called for. If you can just do your best in the next week or so and then concentrate on how SW will fit into your Spanish lifestyle that'll be good.:)

I've had a large SW friendly breakfast: ham, 2 fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and half a HEB of toast. I need to do my meal plan for the week before I do my shop. In 'SW speak' I haven't anything to stop me having a good week. I'm almost reluctant to type that as plans can change as we all know to our cost.:rotfl:

Back later after I've done he meal plan.:)

Happy birthday rj. If you rein in the syns over the rest of the week you'll do fine. I use most of my syns at the weekend, as does Maman and probably other too, and then low syn the rest of the week. Works for me usually but losses are very slow. Still need to lose 1.5lb just to get back to top end of target - will probably take 3 weeks the way I lose.

Away for the weekend again but have planned as much as I can but will be difficult Saturday evening as it's a buffet type meal but planning on eating a proper dinner before going!

    Today's plan:

    B - beans on toast
L - ham salad with pickled onions, beetroot & gherkins in addition to the usual salad stuff
D - HB beef, mash, green beans

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - wine:D

Won't have wifi over the weekend so back on Monday.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
