So, it's all kid28's fault - even though he left in March? Even if he was diverting a small amount of money into his own pocket it wouldn't explain the collapse of the company owing tens of thousands to customers, suppliers and , apparently, staff.

No mention from sokemployee of having lost his job and feeling aggrieved at his former employers. Just a lot of accusations aimed at a former colleague. Possibly because he isn't, and wasn't, an employee? I wonder what his actual connection to the company might be?
  • no of course its not kid28's fault. The fault ultimately lies with the business owners. I responded to his post to set the record straight when after being on the back foot since March, Kid28 took this opportunity to write an essay about his formers employers a few days after the company went bust. It seems to me his was a post out of vengeance designed to stoke the fire rather than for the public good. I think it is important that the other posters understand who kid28 is and what weight to put in his comments.

I responded to his post to set the record straight ...

Can you please "set the record straight" on the accusation that since February (or thereabouts) payments had to be made by bank transfer? Is there any truth in this accusation?
  • To set the record straight. As I said in my previous post payments were accepted by both card or bank transfer. It didn't have to be done one way or the other. As I also mentioned I see no gain to the business or to the owner for doing this anyway.

Hopefully we can all get some closure and I for one won't be posting anymore. I regret getting involved in this in the first place as I'm not sure it was my place to do so, however a response to kid28 was I think necessary.
  • Clearly SOKemployee has an intimate knowledge of the (1) sales (2) payments (3) supplier ordering and fulfilment process (4) SOK production (5) and customer fulfilment.
I'm sure that you must be able to explain why in January it was possible to order and fulfil my inital part order for units with PWS (Second Nature doors) however by late May the 2nd part of my kitchen order (the remaining 75%) could not be fulfilled with PWS doors..
The only explanation I received from SOK's company director was 'we no longer work with them'. At that time and when I pressed my kitchen designer he didn't know as he'd only recently been employed and the 2nd kitchen designer (a longer term employee) sitting in close proximity remained silent.
I ask as I have been a previously very satisfied customer and feel misled from the exchanges that took place in May.
Was this an early indication of trading difficulty?
Furthermore as employees were given a 1 week holiday on 23rd of August and my delivery due on the 26th can I assume that, from what you've said, my units will be sitting in the production area?

Posting anonymously but making allegations about a named individual is hardly "brave" in my opinion.

Thankfully, MSE have deleted the personal details posted.

I urge MSE regulars not to get involved in such public spats, especially "congratulating" one side (or the other) for posting anonymous accusations of wrong doing. Either or both posters could be telling lies.

I regard both posts as inappropriate to a discussion forum about Consumer Rights. Customers of this failed company need advice about how they will get restitution, not a blow-by-blow account of where the owners allegedly went on holiday and/or who was sacked for apparent dishonesty.

It didn't take much working out that I didn't mean brave..and that I was far from ' congratulating', what an odd thing to say..

Naming someone when you don't give your own name in this circumstance is pretty low, I'm pretty sure everyone deplores that . End of..

It seemed obvious from your first post you are the company, and it seems to me it was your post that was vengeful.

    =======================================================

    This is an official notice

I have told you in the past in and in many occasions that our lead time for all the styles is 12 weeks from the point of order with confirmed colour scheme and drawers options. All orders through the website has a different lead time.

I will not accept any deal with less lead time from you.

If the lead time is a sale breaker, then you have to consult with me and obtain a permission to do so. This off course after you have demonstrated that the lead was quoted within the 48 hours the “ time scale” policy set by the company. if it is proven that the fault is from you by delaying the quote and then ask for a short lead time , you will not be paid commission on this deal.

It is your obligation to inform me that you are unable to attend to the load of work each time it happens. Not as an excuse when is needed.

Furthermore you have to inform me personally of any new sales as and when it happens.

    Sincerely

  • Hi,
Just found out today that the company is under administration.Wondering if we are going to get any money back at all as didn't pay by credit card. Question to the person who started the thread:
Did you get anywhere with LA business recovery? We have send all required documents and hoping for the best.

Using sarcasm in print is not always obvious, that's why there are emoticons available. :o

Regardless, I still see regulars here encouraging these "anonymous employees" to post further about the alleged working practices of this firm.

It has nothing to do with Consumer Rights and it's not even certain who these people really are and what their true agenda might be.
