Use 079 from mobile to call abroad? Is it genuine??

As far as I know

1) O2 - Calls allowed but billed
2) O2 CPW - Calls allowed and NOT Billed. Difficulty getting the call through - need a lot of patience with the Network Busy error.
3) Virgin - To the best of what I know, calls blocked. I may be wrong.
4) T-Mobile - Definitely charges for these calls.
5) Vodafone - Definitely charges for these calls.
6) 3 - Allows calls to this number with a warning. But calls are charged.

Anyone else having other experiences?

so only CPW o2 with dunno when will they cancel this 079 as well?hmmm...they are plotting something big together huh...

Hi Thanks for these numbers. I used them for a few days but since 1st November when I try dialing it, it says number not recognised. Has 02 discovered this and restricted access to it as well. Is anybody else having the same problem? Do you know of any other number.

I only got a contract last month and would hate to know that I cannot call India for free on it.

Me neither on Orange or O2 (Direct) but unsure as says "sorry we are unable to connect at this time"

I am on CPW O2; till couple of days back, I was able to call India using 07978555555. But today I get a message saying 'Number is not recognised'. I tried following numbers,

07978555555
07978512350
07978555666
07893138333

Any leads to some ther info?????

O2 direct has been in dispute with these service providers over some charging issue (money matters) and hence hv blocked calls to these numbers until further notice. Received a text from O2 last week advising the same and it also further says that "contact the service provider for more information". I guess that is the end of these services as far as O2 or O2 CPW is concerned.

Just checked my orange online bill for October and i can confirm that all calls made using 07978555555 are Free.

Yes, accepted that these calls are currently free on the Orange network, but this is only until 15 December 2007. See the link at http://www1.orange.co.uk/termsupdate for more info...

Do not call Noodle. I just got my bill, I have been charged. Has anyone else been charged for using Noodle. I am on CPW.. E2save contract.
