You are flogging a dead horse with harassment. They are flogging a dead horse with E v L, and, although £54 may be reasonable in a real life situation, it is not allowed in a SCC.

that they are being disingenuous in citing E V L, and also mention the £54. Several of us and trying to get this firm sanctioned for unsolicitory conduct, the more complaints the SRA get the better. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I have now returned from holiday to a further letter from bw legal. They completely ignored my latest letter querying certain things such as the case of Elliott v Loake, and have stated that the previous letter they sent to me was the letter before action, therefore they want me to contact them within 7 days from the date of their letter (19 September) to pay the balance, I order to prevent further costs. Not sure whether to ignore this one - will run by Legal Beagles too as they drafted the previous letter for me.0

Pinky, not certain if BWLegal speak the english language or are simply plain stupid .... the latter seems to be the case.
BWLegal are currently under investigation by the SRA.
It's your turn pinky, a severe complaint to the SRA

Write back to BWLegal stating you have issued a complaint to the SRA and therefore this issue is on hold until you get a suitable reply from the SRA. Invite them to contact the SRA for further information.
If BWLegal ignore that, then a further complaint to the SRA0 -
Thank you, I'll get on to that today.0

Just got back from holiday and have had two emails from SRA, who now want me to ring them. Obviously I'll reiterate what's in my letters, how there information isn't accurate, the tone of the letters etc but before I ring would anyone here like me to mention anything too?0

Stand up (in shoes!) when making the call but don't pace about.
Standing up has been shown - somehow! - to make phone callers feel more assertive. Try it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You seem to be a leading case in getting this sort of response from the SRA. I'm sure you will, but please do come back and update us, as your experience in speaking with them and getting any hint of which way the wind is blowing for BWL will be invaluable for us in advising future BWL victims.
Well done on your persistence in tackling BWL and the SRA.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just an update, I spoke to a lovely lady from the SRA who phoned me today, she says they are taking all the complaints they received about BW Legal very seriously, and this is now going higher. They are going to keep me updated at every stage. I shall of course keep you all updated! She seemed rather concerned by one or two of my issues with them and has highlighted my case.0
