Joe_Horner wrote: »We don't understand which one of the approx 40000 EU regulations you're talking about. Unless you can narrow it down to a specific one your statement is meaningless. And still wrong.
The nearest there is to what you've stated is a general assumption (but with quite a lot of exceptions) of a 2 year warranty period for new goods sold by traders.
That's a lot different to 6 years and nothing to do with private sales, so we're waiting eagerly for you to pinpoint your claim.NewUserHere wrote: »Joe_Horner wrote: »That's a lot different to 6 year warranties mandated by Ecu regulations .
Glad to see somebody who knows the law as well.

Sorry, mate, you can take my name off that list.
A selective and poorly edited (what exactly is an "Ecu regulation btw???) quote of a post where i was obviously disagreeing with you doesn't prove your point in any way.
If anything all it does is show that either:
you're intentionally distorting stuff to troll, or
your comprehension skills are so poor that you can't follow a few lines posted on a forum. In which case any hope you have of convincing us that you understand EU legislation or directives goes right out the window.0 -
I see NUH has posted in a thread in Consumer Rights spouting the same rubbish as here, but hasn't had the cojones to come back to this thread yet.0

he seems to have deleted his cobblers from another thread, claiming EU regs mean it's illegal to close down an HP agreement early, because money-laundering, innit?
I thought they liked money laundering, and have the 500 euro note to facilitate it?:D
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

If I get someone to launder money for me, via a dodgy PCP scheme, do I get a 6 year warranty on my cash?!0

No: you get a 6 year stretch in HMP Magilligan.0 -
NUH seems to have gone very quiet ...0

Apart from that being some of the most bare-faced !!!!!!!! I've ever read, if the site admins really HAD deleted it, they'd have deleted the posts quoting it, too.0 -
