Exactly, he'll be a nice likeable chap right up until you've paid him, then his attitude will change so drastically you'd think a switch had been hit.0

Given the kind of price range we're clearly talking about, is there any kind of realistic expectation of after-sale service anyway?Exactly, he'll be a nice likeable chap right up until you've paid him, then his attitude will change so drastically you'd think a switch had been hit.dealer asks for a higher price (25% more, but as we are not talking about high value car then nominal value after increase doesn't seem that bad)0 -
That's true enough, I guess.0

Jimmy Savile seemed a 'nice, honest and likeable chap' too,I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

I don't think that has much to do with it. If you can't trust his word, how do you know you won't find yourself up sugar creek without a paddle? Doesn't matter how cheap the car is they still cost money when you're left high and dry0 -

I was a teenager in Leeds in the 60s, and we all knew there was something odd about the guy - odd manner, lives with/worships his Mum, etc. The strange thing is, we all thought he was gay and was trying to keep it secret (as people did in those days).I'd very much disagree, always gave me the creeps even when I was a kid.
I met him a few times, as I worked in St James's and he was a volunteer porter at LGI. He had massive charisma, but left you feeling uncomfortable every time, without quite knowing why. He seemed to be very superficial, and beneath the surface there was just more surface. The eyes were completely cold.If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0
