So - you are claiming not to be related to Sosumi,, Rubideum or Espresso ?
Ha Ha Ha - haven't heard anything so funny for a long time ..
Well, the MSE site administrators, who can see from their own logs that I'm not related in any way to either of the two users you keep mentioning (whomever they may be) will be laughing their heads off at you. :rotfl:
You're barking up the wrong tree. (Barking being very much the operative word, here.)
I suggest you stop making a public fool of yourself with this. But it's your own grave you are digging yourself into.0 -

Funny thing with "rights". I work partly in retail and, as part of that, I keep myself fully (and accurately) up to date with consumers'rights law.
When someone comes in with a problem it generally goes one of 2 ways:
If they're honest with me about what happened then I'll bend over backwards to help them. The most recent was replacing a £75 cost price watch movement on a £50 original repair for free (so I'm personally out of pocket by the difference and the time involved) because they didn't understand that a "30m water resistant" rating means it's only splashproof.
On the other hand, if they come in "knowing their rights" (usually inaccurately as it happens) then they'll get exactly what their rights say & no more. Which, in the above case, would have been diddly squat.
So, be careful when quoting rights that you get them right. Which you haven't0 -

You can see why there might be some confusion there...
Oh, absolutely - which should have been dealt with by whoever sold them the watch originally (not us!). But the relevant ISO standards define it that way and the makers follow the standards.
All that said, as far as I was concerned, it was a genuine mistake by an owner acting in good faith, and they weren't shouging about "rights" which they didn't have. So I was happy to bail them out in the hope they'd use / recommend us in future. Someone who's claiming rights that don't exist is unlikely to do that.0 -

No dealer in his right mind could give such a warranty so would close down. The same would apply to private sellers, no way could anyone give this so nobody would sell 2nd hand cars.
Well you say that, yet there are god knows how many dealers out there despite the law stating dealers must warrant the goods for 6 years0 -

Clue: "Well, it's common knowledge, innit?" doesn't count.0
