The La Palma Princess and spa is just an example of a very good AI hotel with over 1950 very good or better reviews on tripadvisor.

The effects of a long haul flight and jet lag are still apparent on the third day of a carribean holiday.

Surely you get jag lag coming back not going

OP I'm not sure your budget is big enough . We did a cheap(er) AI on Antigua years ago , it was just like Butlins
The best Caribbean holiday we had was a small self catering apartment in Rodney Bay , St Lucia, as there are a lot of good restaurants there, however even that came in more then your budget, not including food
Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later

Going only slightly over budget, and putting the holiday back to mid-November, there's always repositioning cruises from the Med to East Caribbean.

Two Novembers ago, we flew to Malaga, joined Thomson Celebration for it's adults only repositioning. Sailed same night and visited...

    - Gibraltar
    - Santa Cruz (Tenerife)
    - 6 days at sea
    - Antigua
    - Philipsburg
    - Tortola
    - St Kitts
    - Dominica
    - Barbados, and flew home

15 nights total. Cost was less than £1,100pp, included flights, transfers, All Inclusive, Tips.

There's the two for this year, one departs 29 October and the other on 13 November.

Well our trip to Cambodia was fab, and not much jet lag.

We have also booked for next year, and have decided to go to Kos next September. We picked mitsis :happyhear:happyhear:love::love:blue domes resort and spa. Looks favoulous and reviews are very good.
