You'll need a relaxing holiday after cramming all that travel and busy itinerary into a week.

After doing those two longhaul flights to and from Cambodia you might not relish the prospect of return transatlantic flights so soon after.

Thanks, for that, we're going to look at Cyprus / Madeira / Rhodes which means we will be able to go early September instead.

But look for something more up range hotel

That looks amazing! We might be restricted to 7/8 days in September next year for our 30th anniversary trip, I'm going to price this place up.

The La Palma Princess and spa is just an example of a very good AI hotel with over 1950 very good or better reviews on tripadvisor.

The effects of a long haul flight and jet lag are still apparent on the third day of a carribean holiday.

Regardless of what you think it isn't relative to the OP. But that seems to be something you keep overlooking.

We just want something different than Europe, as we have been to most of Europe. Did look at the Thomson holiday above, but hubby does not want Canary Islands, as been to most of them a number of times.

    What about Italy though?

This hotel is in a fab position and the superior rooms have great terraces and it is much cheaper. A lot more basic than the other hotel but Rapallo is fabulous, and the ferry goes to all the other places nearby such as Portofino.

The OP was initially interested in very good AI hotels and that's just an example of one, that's all it was and that's how it was relevant before we received the clarification that the OP really doesn't want the Canary Islands.

Btw there's this http://www.hotel-savoy-gardens.com/en/images.html on Madeira

Sticking with the Caribbean. How about Aruba? More sunshine hours than the rest of the Caribbean and outside the hurricane belt.
