Why do you want to fly all that way just for an AI holiday?

Noticed you're off to Cambodia soon. You'll love the place, so if you haven't already been why not have a look next door at Vietnam...it's special.;)

Maybe they just want to relax, chill out & do very little?

We really enjoy AI for the ease of costs and the whole relaxing environment, we also really enjoy self catered, sight-seeing holidays, there's a place for both.

If you want to make it 'Special', and are set on a Caribbean AI then I think you'll need to adjust your £1,100pp budget quite a bit upwards.

    Thomson have

14 nights from MAN on Thursday 22 Sept from £831pp AI

The OP wants the Caribbean not the Canaries.

My point re the jet lag was that it's nothing more than a bit of an early finish/start for a day or two and certainly not worth not travelling for.

The La Palma Princess and spa is just an example of a very good AI hotel with over 1950 very good or better reviews on tripadvisor.

The effects of a long haul flight and jet lag are still apparent on the third day of a carribean holiday.

We just want something different than Europe, as we have been to most of Europe. Did look at the Thomson holiday above, but hubby does not want Canary Islands, as been to most of them a number of times.

We are going to Cambodia for just a week, visiting our daughter who is working there. She has planned lots of thing for our 6 days there.

We just want to have a holiday to chill out and relax, not wanting to go in August, as we may do something in the Uk for our anniversary as well with our immediate family.

You'll need a relaxing holiday after cramming all that travel and busy itinerary into a week.

After doing those two longhaul flights to and from Cambodia you might not relish the prospect of return transatlantic flights so soon after.
