Thanks guys for following this journey with me! So, I woke up this morning, bright and early (well, 10:00 ... it is the weekend
:D) and made the offer, the offer that the estate agent had previously said they would take! Have been expecting a call back all day ... but nothing
... I tried to phone at 4 but no answer and sent an email and no reply. I really thought it would be as straight forward as them accepting straight away. i just hope they are not playing games and decline this offer

The EA might not have been able to get reach them today. If I had made an offer on Saturday morning I would not expect to hear before Monday at the earliest.
Fingers crossed that they accept.0 -

Thank you!!!0 -

If I made a decent offer I'd expect at the very least to have some sort of feedback from EA the same day, maybe not so if the offer was placed at the end of the day of course. I think the EA not coming back same day even if to say they haven't heard from vendor, is very poor.0 -

Yes it is but I have only come across one estate agency who were proactive like that.
In my experience most EAs don't care about buyers as it is the seller paying them.
If you want to know something you need to chase the EA which PF did but they had already left by 4pm which I don't understand as I would have thought that Saturday was their busiest day.0 -

I will jump on this thread!
Girlfriend, Baby and I are currently on the look out for our first home as a family/first home for either of us. Our mortgage adviser has told us to wait until November until a credit card updates (Why on earth are Barclaycard a month/or two in arrears in updating the information...) on the CRA's. She also has a late payment in January (we didn't know it would be a late payment notice), so we will probably then wait until January to really start the process properly. Unless something in our desired area comes up before then.
Little worried to see a couple or people holding back to February. Might have to think about pushing our plans back to February.0
