Pulled over by police for speeding

I'd like to see more people getting pulled for exceeding 30 limits, 40mph seems to the norm these days. Yes, these are mono-speed drivers, who not only cause a danger in residential areas, but cause frustration in other drivers when the limit goes up above 40.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

But the OP wasn't - the police car was there.Silver-Surfer wrote: »He could have been the only vehicle on the road. Remember he's only being done for speeding.
It was simply a question. If you read it in a judgemental way, that's unfortunately your problem.Mercdriver wrote: »I don't know. Neither do you. Amazing how people's judgement is always so 20/20 on forums that they ae able to be judgemental.
But seriously... what would make anyone speed over the limit so much, apart from being impatient?
A birth of their child? No reason so speed.
Parent or family member dying? No reason to speed.
Missing the game? No need to speed.
There is NO reason to speed full stop.
I think all fines should have a 0 added to the end. £60 fine? I'll probably speed again. £600? I don't think I will.
Give me a police vehicle and I'd easily make more in a day than my current salary by simply pulling people over for speeding.0 -
^^ That's all very well, but it's a rather indoctrinated view of road safety.
Contrary to what we're told, speeding is simply the easiest road "crime" to catch and punish. Driving dangerously doesn't have to involve speed, not paying proper attention is a much more dangerous activity behind the wheel.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Not necessarily, could have been on an over bridge with pro laser or vascar.

You don't get a £60 fine these days.0 -

And a lot harder to police and prove.0 -
Every time someone speeds past me or swears at me and overtakes because I'm doing 20mph in a 20 zone,
You must be even more fun to be behind than the local tractor.0 -

what you don't seem to understand is that if you admit guilt YOU WILL NOT get off on a technicality irrespective if procedures have been followed or not.0 -
