I wouldn't say that it's populated but in reality, MSE is no better or no worse that any other anonymous public forum and you will always get people making up stories simply to get a reaction and the occasional Walter Mitty type of poster.

"MSE Martin" sold this site some years ago. His name and image are still used and he earns a handsome "retainer" for allowing this.
His Twitter feed is replicated here on the same basis.

You'll only see articles written by "MSE Martin" in the archives (or when they've been subsequently updated by current staff).


If you think this forum is unique in having trolls (or simply attention seekers), then you don't frequent too many of them.

As regards to trolls, I thought the protocol here was to alert the powers that be of them where such evidence exists, not to discuss or feed theie ego on the boards. Times appear to have changed somewhat...:(

Personally I tend to give most posters the benefit of the doubt as I know life can be strange. But you can't really report a person just because you don't believe or like what they said.

I can't believe you class this as BS, why on earth would I post asking what I should do as some kind of attention seeking. I'm sure I could imagine much better scenarios than out of date antihistamines for a scandal :rotfl:

I don't check dates on tablets I have just bought, I have no idea how often this happens or even how bad it actually is and that is why I was asking only. No compensation, no freebies, no plastering 'all over the internet', surely FB or Twitter would be a better platform for that?.

I'm guilty of handing them out like sweets when asked by my absentminded co-workers and to my gran and would feel terrible if it caused a reaction was more my panic in the heat of the moment. Surely Sainsburys should be queried is all I was saying but I have no idea who would be the correct place to do it.

Jeez the drama over a simple question, I won't be asking for help again if this is the reaction it gets. No idea how to send pictures but happy to do so if it helps you. I was in the branch the next day and they were still selling two boxes out of date (also took a picture to moan about it to my sister if you would like to see this 'evidence' haha) with all others dated 2019! Probably is just an oversight of old stock being mixed in but still disturbing 'in my opinion'.

Got my money back and lesson learned, just buy generic and check date lol. Thanks to the people who had productive things to say, I do appreciate your input and the few who put it in perspective too.
