Anyone had any success in appealing a decline?0

I recently applied, got the T&Cs through the post which I needed to sign and return. Contacted them a week or so later to check everything had been received and also to check the credit limit as nothing on the T&Cs.
I was told it was £5.5k which seemed a surprise as other credit applications got declined. Just curious, would you say that everything is in order to receive the card now as still think it is a little too easy on this occasion.
Thanks in advance0 -
Got yet another letter asking him to ring them. This is turning into a joke. Now on hold in a 25min+ queue. When we went into branch with the statements it took nearly half an hour as well.0

And now they say they have no record of us taking anything in. We handed over 3 months of bank statements for a joint account and they have gone bye-bye.
We have an appointment booked Thursday to speak to someone and have been told to ask for the manager.
Furious isn't the word.0 -
I got £5400 with a credit score of 883 on Experian0

Your score has nothing to do with your application. It's meaningless to lenders. It's actually the history on your file that's important and is taken into account when they credit assess you.0 -
I got a limit of 5,500 with a score of around 287.
Should tell everyone what credit scores mean.0 -
In the end got 2k on my card which will clear most bits I have left onto 0% so very pleased.
BUT I have never ever had to jump through so many security questions and actions just to set up online banking lol.
So basically to set up online if you are not already a customer you have to call the number given, the lady I spoke to was difficult to understand but no worse than many other of theses overseas call centres. Had a list of security questions then confirmed the account details and had to transfer me to another lady to do a phone banking setup before any online stuff could be done.
To set up the phone there was another security set of questions then had to set up a password, two security "words" and a passcode for which I was put through to an automated system to do-code couldn't be dob, no sequential numbers and 6-10 didgets long lol.
Then back to the second lady to finish set up.
Then online to register, more security questions and password (not allowed to be same as phone if I recall correctly) and using my number as above set up. Then have to download an app to my phone (which I then needed to register and enter massive code numbers in plus another password, argggggg.
Finally sorted, but to use online banking you have to log in and get out your phone and ask for a security no to insert online, this has a short coundown to read and input before it expires (30 secs I think). Then could finally do my balance transfers online lol.
A lot of hoops to jump through just to get online access tbh.
