Over the last 2 days I have read your diary from the beginning - you are a funny and inspirational woman. Good luck with your Christmas plan.

    Thank you Tootallulah
Nice of you to come over and visit.

Just seen you have £6k left on your mortgage. I am so jealous, or is it envious?
I am going with envious. I am so envious.

All lunchboxes are made, water bottles filled, children woken (one still to appear) banana milkshakes made, list for the day written and the budget for the month is looking good.

I came home from dropping the kids yesterday morning, made a lasagne, a chilli, a red pepper soup, 8 baked apples and 6 scones. All done before 12.00.
Had the lasagne last night, it is chilli tonight, the soup is for my lunches. All the apples disappeared, all the scones evaporated. But at least supper tonight is sorted and I can get on with laundering the 3 top floor beds.

The kids are knackered. The two smallest were sent to bed at 7 last night. They still look knackered. Only had one flapping about with an 'Aaarrrgghh I can't find my shirts ' I pointed to the pile of shirts in the kitchen he had not taken upstairs when asked, he had the good grace to look shamefaced.

Feeling motivated this morning. Highs of 19 degrees and cloudy, hopefully not too muggy.

When I was your age I hadn't even worked out that I should pay off my mortgage, once I realised I have ended up paying off three!

Wednesday morning and kids at school.

Departure times are creeping later and later - we got stuck behind a bin lorry and were nearly late for the eldest two. The younger two know the elder two need to be at school 20 minutes before they do, and they use it if they feel in the slightest aggrieved. Need to address this one.

Still have a soup ready for supper, and 4 pasties in the fridge prepped for baking tonight for lunchboxes tomorrow. Will bake more apples while the oven is on.
Laundering all the middle floor beds today.
Will try and start moving all of DH's sewing and crafting stuff into the sideboard now in the back room. It should free up a lot of space. More floor for the kids to mess up and for me to hoover.

A week and a half until DH's last camping trip of the year, so all the camping stuff can be put back in the cupboard under the stairs until Easter. Instead of it spilling out and being in boxes next to the cupboard. Aarrghh!

Right, need to post two items for the postal survey and need to have a look in the c/s in case something has come in that is on my list.

I am upset this morning, well, I was upset last night. Well, no, it started yesterday.
I stripped all the middle floor bedding, and remade the beds, DH's floordrobe annoyed me. He has all the bedroom storage for his stuff, I have 3 small drawers. My stuff is put away, his stuff is not. I end up putting his stuff away because it annoys me. He can't see a problem. So bedroom floordrobe on his side of the bed - point one
He has covered his side of the living room with tat. It looks awful and is winding me up. He does not see a problem as he is crafting his costume for going away next weekend and obv needs every bit of paint, embroidery equipment, glue, fabric available and to hand, and then there are his cycling clothes, bags and helmets piled on the only coffee table and 'his' sofa. It is annoying me. Same with his camping stuff which has not been put away since his last trip in July, No point putting it away as he will be using it 8 weeks later!!

Anyway, last night he took himself off for a web chat with his mates he is off camping with next weekend. I get that he is excited, I get that it is his hobby , but when I can barely get 5 words out of the man, who complains how tired he is, or that he has a sore throat and can't talk (pah!), who will not tidy up his own mess, and then he gaily skips out of the room to chat to his mates in the comfort of his nicely tidied bedroom, so he has privacy, to be honest I want to drop something heavy on his head while laughing.
So I was very grown up about it and went to bed as soon as he pranced downstairs at 9.

Sorry. Today, for once, it is about me.

Might be back to school sadness, even the hamster has a clean house. Mind you he does not have to share it with anyone else.

Yes thank you, day much improved. I pulled up my big girl pants and got on with it.

Floordrobe tidied. Bathroom cleaned. Kids rooms (bar one which was a total mess and not my job) straightened. Pantry inventory, meal plans, and shopping list for next week written. Creamy vegetable pie made and eaten and the kitchen cleaned and all washing up done.

Annoyingly I had to spend on milk (8 litres) and bread and hummus - £7.80

All the other shopping will be done tomorrow

Going to do a YS raid right now and hope I get something nice.

I found a stray £9 in my bag from last weekend's shopping budget.
So that can be my 'float' for a charity shop raid tomorrow. Thank you bag!

I will fill up with petrol tomorrow too - only half way through the tank, but still, it might do me a fortnight for £20.

So after I drop the kids at school I will go c/s-ing, and looking for bargains and little bits to make lunchboxes nicer.

I went into Wilko and found a lot of little toys for stockings/ advent calendars. Spent £2 as everything was 20p. At least I have started. All the seeds are half price, but I will wait until they are 25p a packet and then join the scrum.

I was horrified in Mr M's supermarket to find puff pastry mince pies on sale.
I noticed last week that those big tins (that are now plastic) of chocolates were on sale. The charity shop has had its cards out for a month now.

Can I please remind the world it is only just SEPTEMBER and they need very much to stop it. It just stops things from being special. Don't misunderstand me, I am not the greatest fan of Xmas, but still, I do like to celebrate the turning points of the year. In turn.

We still have the Autumnal Equinox, Apple day, half term, Halloween, Bonfire night, Winter Solstice and Xmas Eve to celebrate first.

I make a point of no mince pies or lebkuchen hearts until December 1st.

Anyway, just because it is there does not mean I have to buy it.

Rotten, rotten man went to bed last night and demanded 'what have you done with my stuff????'. Cue sighing and rolling eyes. I assume he noticed his side of the bedroom floor was spotless.

    Obviously I am unreasonable,
    Trousers in his trouser drawer.
Clean ironed shirts on hangers in his wardrobe.
Waterproofs in the drawer with his sports clothes
sun cream / saline / moisturiser / razor / flannel in the bathroom
suitcase from his trip in..... what.....May? put in the cupboard with all the other suitcases where they live, in suitcaseland. A magical place.

Let him have the hump. At least the hump is not his tat-huegel on the carpet.
    Swine

Sunny morning yay - got soaked picking up kids last night.
