DH  has just driven off with a very shouty Dave in a very large humane cage inside a very very large Spr0ts Direct bag, off to the local nature reserve by a canal, where he can get eaten by foxes.  Humanely.

Turns out, the large slice of half brown Bramley apple, that I found in the back of the bottom of the fridge, was the best bait to lure the HUGE creature into the trap. Will keep on with the traps for another week, just in case, and listen out for any more Dave-ettes.

Honestly he was enormous- nose to tail a good 35cm - about half of which was tail! Big fat beastie (or possibly pregnant? was not going to turn the cage to do a weird  alien examination), but bright shiny eyes and a glossy coat - looked very healthy, and now very gone! Off to check the other traps - just in case.....

Yes. It is a bit of a mystery to be honest.  Someone rocked up to the cannabis destroyed house next door on Friday and cleared the yard of all the internal doors and skirting boards and floor boards.  They are now all back inside the house for the first time in about 4 years. Then it sounded like they were knocking the plaster off the walls.  Nobody came yesterday or today....
