Unverified by YOU . Heaven forbid.

The machines are going in the skip - Yes, id like to save someone a few quid if i can

Funny how you seem to miss the parts of my posts that are relevent to what you claim.
Read up, i have used and verified this media

No, you prefer to paste the same old link time and time again and then get upset when someone has a different view to you.

You dont do work, you only ever post your stupid links on posts regarding installation of windows

I have never seen you post anything meaningful on any other subject

Installing it, isn't verifying it. Ridiculous.

You made such a big deal to my posting of direct from Microsoft links, yet failed to mention that you were linking to unofficial, cobbled together images....and not even your own.

Verified is when you put them together yourself and know what is within or compare with Microsoft's official hashes.

Same old link? Which link is it that you claim that I have posted before?

I challenge you to post the links to which you claim that I have posted before.

You are slinging mud in the desperate hope that some of it will stick. But to your dismay you realise that it isn't mud and that it is just stuck to your hand.

Hands up those who feel sorry for OP who asked a reasonable questions and has seen the thread he started destroyed by a pointless row which is not the first one from the two posters. Why don't they just put each other on ignore?

    Hands up??

Even if we have disagreed , the debate is on topic. Wouldn't you like to know if you are being recommended to download and install a homegrown Windows image?
Without that discussion, no one would be any the wiser.

Whereas it's the off topic posters, feeling compelled to post about nothing other than to give voice to their feelings, like yourself, that are taking the thread off topic.
How useful is a post stating "I'm bored now, ta ta" to the thread after the debate is already over?
    How useful your post?
Only serves to take the thread off topic and to continue exactly the issues about which you are complaining.
Keep it on topic, even if we disagree.

Download an OEM version and i will send you a key

    Hi,

I recently bought a second hand laptop, a Dell E6400, which had Windows 7 64 bit on it. I noted the key number using a program called produkey which was

    32KD2-K9CTF-M3DJT-4J3WC-733WD

I wiped the HDD (just in case there were any viruses/keyloggers etc..) and installed Win 7 again bit this key does not work and I get an error code.

Could you PM me a key please for Win 7 Pro 64 bit if you still have any left?

    Thanks

You don't need a new key.:)
That key you found is a generic key used by the Dell factory to install Win 7 Pro.

Any sign of a sticker with a key?
Tried looking inside the battery compartment?

You need to find a DELL Win 7 Pro image, this will detect your Dell machine, no key is needed as it will detect the Dell BIOS, and activate by itself.

I can recommend NiftyDigits as a good source of a suitable image.
    Move along, nothing to see.

If you're just looking to "upgrade" for the sake of one piece of software then why not just use a Windows 7 VM?

Microsoft provide them for free on their site. Just load it up using virtualbox

    You don't need a key in this case....just a DELL re-installation disc.

You can utilise Philip Yip's unofficial slipstreamed DELL re-installation images if you want to save time. Whilst it will work and will activate, you are taking a leap of faith that nothing unwanted has been added.
Likely not, but I haven't gone through the image, with a fine toothed comb or otherwise.
Having a extra COA key won't hurt
