Could I please get a key for 32bit version ?
It's for Dell Optiplex 530 (old pc)

Confirm your machine's designation by posting the Service tag from your machine, before you update the BIOS.
Though since you are on my special list, I think using one of AP's reused keys is the better option for you.

It is of course an Inspiron 530 and there's no need to use a product key pulled from another machine..
    ...

Of course there is, the OP wants WINDOWS 7 .
Inspiron 530 never got shipped with 7 !!

Let's hope AP doesn't go on to resell that machine.
    ...

Thats just dumb - why would i give away a key unless i had no use for it.
Many users on here can verify that i provide valid keys

With that machine you can update the BIOS firmware using a bootable USB Flash drive and then use one of AP's images(assuming they are DELL reinstallation images) to perform a clean install from boot.
    ...

Unlike yourself, i am able to provide specific images for the job in hand
Windows 7 Drivers and Applications here
    Amateurs...

They are 64 bit drivers - Amateur

Don't you get tired of arguing stupidly?

    You are like a child.

    There is no OPTIPLEX 530.

I know all about your keys. you seem to think that unless it is advertised all over the open board, it's not happening.
Not everyone feels the need to advertise that they are going to provide a key.
You could simply send it via PM without further ado...but you feel the need to announce it.

No, you don't need to utilise a OEM disc for the key on the COA, that is just...dumb.

Yes, I recommend that the OP installs the 64 bit OS.

I didnt say there was an optiplex 530 - are you blind ? (To quote your lovely self)
DoubleV specified 32 bit - and you linked to 64 bit drivers - dumb (To quote your lovely self)

No, you are right, you dont HAVE to use the OEM image - but if you dont then you have to go through the telephone activation system ..Why not just use the right tools for the job ?

Obviously iv stepped on your toes here by inputting to a thread that concerns installing windows, and upset you by providing a different link that you like to repeat time and time again.

On what basis would you advise installing a 64bit OS on a machine that currently uses Vista ?

Anyway Ill bow out of this thread now and let you take control - Sorry for ruining it for you by providing propper information, software and keys , before you got your copy and paste of your windows install links in there !!

    Enjoy

You seriously write the worst rubbish that I have ever seen on this forum...apart from your best friend.

You clearly have no idea as to how the licensing system actually works.,
You have linked to the wrong images.
It's like trying to communicating with a child who is more interested in trying to make it seem as if they are winning an argument, than actually learning something. So they end up making the same silly mistakes over and over again.

The product key on the COA has no link to the key utilised for activation. So there is no need to utilise an OEM disc if you going to use the product key on the COA..... and certainly not a disc with DELL branding for a machine that is not a DELL. That is elementary.

Having a load of DELL tat sitting in your storeroom hasn't made you an expert on anything.

Double V's case is completely different. In that case you don't need a product key at all and the DELL re-installation disc can be utilised.

As to upgrading Windows Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit....yes that is the path that I recommend. Unless one intends to keep an small amount of RAM in the machine. I see no basis for doing that, other than a severe lack of funds.

Cowboy is the word that springs to mind.

You missed my toes. I'm happy to do less work on the forum. But if you make obvious mistakes, I can step in to assist.

    Lol - just ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

So you think that a dell machine, with Vista on it, will take a windows 7 build with no key or activation ?

    You're mad

FACT : If you use a retail copy of windows , with an OEM key, you WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH TELPHONE ACTIVATION ..

    Try it and see.

Having anything sitting in my storeroom hasnt made me an expert on anything.
20 years experience , My MCP, my MCSE and my Comptia A+ and diploma in networking have done that. Oh and most recently my OSCP ..

"Learn something other than how to paste windows iso links and then argue about it" is a sentence that springs to mind

You have linked to the wrong images.

Yes, you clearly missed what happened in post #11. Whoosh...and over your head. So yes, Double V can use my guide to install genuine Windows 7 off-line. Big gaps in your knowledge...and it's your job. Shame on you.

Ironic that you have stolen someone else links and presented them as your own...and then try to accuse me of cut and paste.

My links are provided directly by Microsoft. Untouched.

Have you independently verified the privately modified slipstreamed DELL re-installation images to which you have linked? Do you even know who put them together?

Why does it take me to have to inform that yours are neither official Microsoft nor DELL images?

Refuse to argue with you anymore - you are a troll plain and simple

Not stolen links - never claimed they were mine, simply linked to media that i have used succesfully in the past, with OEM keys.

I have provided links to the relevent software, and given the keys to use it - plain and simple - job done

All this, before you piped in and reduced this thread to a crazy arguement like you always do.

I have nothing more to add as all it would be is huff puff and bluster with a troll like yourself.

But please - Insert your sarky last comment below - you know you have to ...

Empty room , meet nifty - we will listen to the argueing from outside

So that is the sum of your knowledge? Linking to unverified media and supplying keys not meant to be shared, as they are supposed to be for the machines to which they attached.
You are not dodgy at all. are you?

It might work, but you have no idea as to the veracity of the images to which you have posted links.

I prefer to do the job properly in the first place. It might take a little more work, but some of us take pride in our work. Not just cutting and pasting links to unverified images and copying product keys from old machines.

Hoisted with your petard? You like to boast as to your experience. But your lack of knowledge and disclosure here is just unacceptable.

Let people know that you are supplying links to someone else's home made images.

    Linking to unverified media .
Unverified by YOU . Heaven forbid.
supplying keys not meant to be shared, as they are supposed to be for the machines to which they attached..

The machines are going in the skip - Yes, id like to save someone a few quid if i can
It might will work (FTFY), but you have no idea as to the veracity of the images to which you have posted links...
Funny how you seem to miss the parts of my posts that are relevent to what you claim.
Read up, i have used and verified this media
I prefer to do the job properly in the first place....
No, you prefer to paste the same old link time and time again and then get upset when someone has a different view to you.
It might take a little more work,....
You dont do work, you only ever post your stupid links on posts regarding installation of windows

I have never seen you post anything meaningful on any other subject
