It depends on whether or not the use of the trademark is to provide some form of advantage (usually financial). In a conversation there's no issue ... in what the OP is proposing there may be.0

If there are no logos shown you will be fine. Where I work we sell products that have photos taken in a room setting, we use furniture and props from all sorts of places and as long as there are no logos we are fine to do so.
When it comes to logos that's where you'd want to contact the company who owns it. Some of them would be happy for the brand exposure. Others may not want to be associated with your app.Hi.
