My old dentist was murdered!!!! Not by one of his patients I hasten to add, although he made a mess of one of my teeth.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • So the reply over the weekend never happened!

cannot believe I have only been back at work for 5 days, Sunday night couldn't sleep, Monday night had loads of work to do, last night all prepared to go to bed early and it took me about a hour and a half to get a wasp out of my bedroom. I was trying not to kill it but that clearly went no were and I had to poison it and then my poor mum had to chuck it out the window.

so came home today feeling like death. And slept for an hour and a half.

In the midst of all this I upset my marvellous car mechanic had a situation at work which there is nothing I can do about and just generally Monday and Tuesday sucked outside of the classroom!

This weekend I am determined to move the rabbits outside. Last night in my tiredness I cleaned them out and tipped the WHOLE litter tray over the floor. I think the only reason why I didn't sit on the floor and cry was that I was so tired I didn't have the energy. I kept thinking if they were outside, you wouldn't need to clean them out (room for more litter trays) as much and even if you did the outside litter is 100% compostable so tipping it up in the garden would be like free fertiliser (really it would. I am not saying I would do that obviously but doing that over your bedroom carpet is GROSS!!!)

In other news I am spending money like no one's business! Must going and check the bank accounts......

    Oh God that is awful........

edited to add - I mean the murder bit! tho obviously the teeth thing is annoying too but not really on the same scale. I should just stop typing and go to bed really...........reallly.

  • Just popping back cos I am worried about my teeth! (Bloody theme of the diary!) I can feel them all moving. Am convinced the baby tooth has rotted and spread the infection all the way along to the next two teeth :(

    so worried.

And I love Ripper Street. SO well written and compelling.

    LOVE IT.

thankfully I have the dentist tomorrow...........never thought I would I say that

  • Thanks for mentioning Ripper Street. I will watch it after I finish Happy Valley on Netflix. (I love this series)

  • I bought a fitbit.

It is arriving tomorrow. I really can't afford it but decided that I needed to do "something" re exercise - I don't believe it will help me lose weight but I do believe it will help with depression/mood swings/time of the month issues.I used to use a walking game on my Nineteno DS (how old and out of date does that sound!) but it got boring and repetitive. I am sure the fitbit will too eventually but it took 3 years with the walking game.

In other news I have a temporary filling on the broken tooth. Dentist was very good and it was all super quick.

I can't remember if I mentioned it on here before but a close friend is splitting up with her husband. Last weekend was spent out with her, keeping her occupied. This is Mum's last weekend before she goes away so am at home but I keep thinking of her. such a huge shock. came out of no where. no real reason given..........cliches and half truths. I suppose it is like that at end. People can say a lot and it means nothing.

I have a mouth ulcer on my tongue - it might not be an ulcer it might be a sore spot caused by the broken tooth. Whatever the pain is INTENSE. Made tears come to my eyes!!! For the record that Eglu stuff is rubbish on the tongue, the bonjela is still the favourite........

I find my fitbit really useful Buffy - so good luck with it!

Oh and well done on getting your teeth sorted :D

Sorry about your friend though :(
    Must use my stash up!
  • Shame about your friend and her husband, sometimes people realise after many years that they are just not meant to be together I guess. Better to split up than go on for years in an unhappy marriage I guess. Still difficult though.

I remember when the boys had fixed braces they were plagued with mouth ulcers and they used something called orabase (I think) it put a coating over the ulcer which stopped it from hurting as much.

Ouch to ulcers, such painful little !!!!!!s. Salt applied directly will sting like mad but kills it off quick, ambesol is great too, it's supposedly a teething thing but works wonders for DD1 who constantly has them (linked to her anemia).

As for break ups, it is very sad to see friends go through it, you never know what to do for the best. I didn't tell anyone when I was planning on leaving my ex, just carried on pretending it was all normal and just woke up one morning and thought "today - it has to be today, I can't do this anymore". I phoned my 2 closest friends the next evening and they were so mad with me for not sharing but I couldn't. The first 2 people to know that our marriage was over was the 2 people in it, which is how it should be.....I might not have loved him (or liked him) anymore but I owed him that. Plus I knew they'd try and talk me out of it.

How long's your Mum away for?
