No spend day for me today. But tomorrow I will need to do some shopping and get some fuel too. I might as well do it all in same trip so I don't Inadvertently stray to shops when I go to get fuel. I've worked out at least 14 meals without leaving the house but we do need bread, milk, fruit etc

I've made the most of having my daughters home before they start school again tomorrow and I've sent them to Tesco to pick up some milk and bread. Now I don't have to have a £40 minimum shop delivered midweek so that has saved me a fortune....which I've just blown on wool and patterns :rotfl:.

    Hello all

I'm just now reading through all of the posts just now over a nice pint of cider.

I'm currently on hols, visiting family, so my actual shopping month is a good deal shorter than usual. That being the case, I'd like to set my November budget at £90 to do me up until 26/09. It will be tight, but I need to recoup some costs after spending quite heavily over the past few weeks.

I have a few days off after returning home, so I'm planning to do quite a lot of cooking to usE up stuff from the freezer, and to allow me to store up some meals for when I get back to work. My emphasis from now until Christmas is going to be on HEALTH, specifically on exercising :j and losing a bit of weight!

Thanks to all involved in making this thread so inspiring!:T

can I ask how you worked out how much to put aside for bulk buys? It's a great idea.
