Are you looking at the diffused ceiling pattern from the traditional metal pierced pendant light? - I am often tempted by just a little cluster of three lamps on a table but no good for eating under in a dining room. Etsy is quite good for quirky designs, in my experienceThat was why it was a very light solution but it was for the strip of plastic that surrounds the window rather than the upvc itself. Just waiting for 2 of the windows to finish drying to buff up and they will all be done. The bottom of some of the windows are still producing marks but I wonder if that is natural, they no longer look dirty so maybe if I keep on top of it it will get better. I suspect eventually all the windows will need replacing but it can definitely wait.My issue with the lights is if the "big light" is on I want it to light up the room as I don't have that in the living room at the moment. The electrician suggested downlights as well if I couldn't find anything big enough of that gives out enough light but I don't really want to do that, I don't think it is the look I am going for. This is what I bought but it is dwarfed in the room https://www.dunelm.com/product/lucena-fretwork-silver-easy-fit-pendant-1000139171?defaultSkuId=30623674This could work but may be a little stark https://www.illumination.co.uk/cancun-ceiling-spotlight-h3002988.html?fbclid=IwAR1EyQ1IoZW8Xq1barhku4sxzsfRz8WRXBfiJoGZ1xeSV2NcBiyn6VaacWQThis could potentially work https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lixada-Antique-Classic-Ajustable-Chandelier/dp/B014M17Q68/ref=sr_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=Moroccan Lighting Ceiling&qid=1606148710&sr=8-16&fbclid=IwAR39mEntHmd23QnIGLv_Ujbuqz8DMo6R5Tfee4AE1YeSArzxjJlMGZI4p3YI like this idea for the dining room https://www.diy.com/departments/yarrow-spiral-brushed-black-chrome-effect-10-lamp-ceiling-light/1503346_BQ.prd?fbclid=IwAR0iAiiFxJBQywnqQxkRgjzyYzQac3P9HgUxZQmZ86VSjBV2UV7tiWKXebYWhatever I get I think it needs to be dimmable to give me options, I want warmth but light if required. I suspect this is all a delaying technique, obsessing over small things, but I don't see the point in getting something I am not completely happy with.

I am definitely getting bogged down looking at ceiling lights.

I rather like the Dunelm pendant one - it would be a real feature in the middle of the room. I also like the amazon link of the separate bulbs (with a dimmer) over the dining table in a dining room. You could use a warm white bulb to tone down the lights (instead of the usual stark or bright white) - I don't know if you saw these on etsy - quite a selection, and I was rather taken with some of the Turkish style table lamps that might complement your pendantSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

my over island choice is a crystal drop- I could do with a second as we didn't notice until fitting day it was off centre... but again- fatigue and cba..Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20221 -

My intention is to go back to B & Q this afternoon and have a look from a fresh perspective but having a bad time with anxiety at the moment as I have something going on that I am struggling to deal with so it might not be the best option today.

New plan for the lights that means they won't fit in with any design plan. I am seriously considering this one for my living room https://www.diy.com/departments/caelus-chrome-effect-14-lamp-ceiling-light/1703614_BQ.prd and this one for the dining room https://www.diy.com/departments/caelus-chrome-effect-3-lamp-ceiling-light/1703615_BQ.prd?rrec=trueI have sent the links to the electrician and hopefully we can find a time to fit them, once I have this I will get in touch with the plasterer.I now have the next 4 days off and am dreading it. Everything that has been going in my personal life has recently come to a head and in my current frame of mind I don't feel like I have much on the horizon to look forward to and pull me through. I am focusing on self care (something I am not very good at) and giving myself time to come to terms with everything. I do have a list as I fear with nothing I will get a bit lost, mostly stuff around the house but I need to make sure I add some things just for me.

Wishing you well - can't really offer anything beyond that as don't have any idea of the issues. You do seem to benefit when you exercise so hopefully your self care will include plenty of this.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

In the grand scheme of things it is nothing but a relationship I valued very deeply has had to change and has affected me more than I ever thought it would. I am going for a swim at a new location this morning and mostly new people, it is a spot in my own town and I am looking forward to meeting people more local. Tide times should mean I can swim every day and I will be going out walking too to keep up my steps although I was very cold yesterday so only managed to get out of the house once. In the end using a couple of hot water bottles helped.I have downloaded a couple of new books and will spend a bit of time reading. My biggest thing is to try and stay away from my phone, over the recent weeks I have found it easier to spend less time on social media but spending so much time alone it becomes a comfort blanket but doesn't help if that makes sense. One of my favourite sports restarts on tv this weekend but I also don't want to spend loads of time on the sofa so will need to balance this.

How do people live in the moment/for the present day? As you may have guessed from my thread I am a planner, I love to have plans and things to look forward to however a book I am reading at the moment is challenging this theory a little. I will never stop forward planning but think it could be healthy to have a balance and given my current situation there seems like no better time to start.

Hello
I am also a huge planner and find it impossible not to. To enjoy anything it has to be part of a plan. I wish I wasn’t this way but I am, means I get absolutely loads done but find relaxing and taking advantage of spontaneous opportunities extremely difficult. DS often will add things like ‘play Lego with DS’ on my weekend to do list (which makes me feel absolutely wretched). At those management assessments thing’s I scored off the chart for completer-finisher.Let me know if you find any good solutions!3
