Today I have planted 20 bulbs, and the 3 fruit plants and 2 perennials I bought yesterday as well as a pumpkin and 2 ornamental gourds.  I still have another 20 bulbs to plant which I am going to put in the front garden so I don't forget about adding colour there too.  Mentally I am really struggling with all this and it was tough forcing myself out there.

I hope it made you feel better - I always feel a small sense of satisfaction when I plant anything.

Hmmm new guidance for lifting of lockdown in Scotland.  It looks like I can't really take part in any of my normal life until phase 4!  My closest family live 180 miles away, I can outdoor swim from next week but within 5 miles and the closest I can feasibly go is 10 miles.  All my other hobbies involve being in groups as does my work and some of my closest friends live nearly 100 miles away.  I know it is all about perspective and my current mental state but this isn't a lift in restrictions for me for a long time.
In happier financial news the bank have finally closed my account.  Oh and if other people can work I might at least be able to get some work done on my house and maybe decorate (I found a positive).

I have emailed 2 garden design companies this afternoon in the hope I can book in appointments with them for when our lockdown starts to ease.  I have no idea how much anything will cost so it will even be affordable for me to have what I want but I have said so in my emails so I will just have to wait and see.
I have just finished my last work call and now it is the weekend and I have no idea what to do.  If the wind would disappear it would be great to head out for a walk but I might wait and see if it will die down a bit later.
I am going to go and check out the academoney on the OU that Martin mentioned on his show last night.

My food plans appear to be against me today.  I have put my dinner in the slow cooker but it isn't going to be ready until 7.30 so thought I would finally make the tea loaf I have been putting off all week to keep me going until then.  I hadn't read the recipe that says I need to soak the fruit overnight so now I either need to bake something else or wait a long time as I had my lunch early :'(
I have started the MSE course online but it is slow going as I am never sure how to work out some of the calculations to know what is a good deal.

I am a little confused.  If I show symptoms of the virus or have been in contact with someone who does I have to isolate for 7 days because I live alone but if I go on holiday when I return I have to isolate for 14 days when I return. Does anyone know why it is longer or are they assuming people aren't holidaying alone?  I am unsure whether my holiday will actually go ahead and have a feeling my leave dates may change so might not be able to go anyway (I am glad I have insurance) but I wondering in case it does.

It's to make sure you haven't been infected by someone else but are not showing symptoms yet.
Hope the garden design companies can come out soon.
