If the reference is to Israel starting one, then there was the Six Day War of 1967 - when Israel struck first before Egypt was quite ready to attack Israel.

At the moment of course, McDonnell has no more power than my cat. And I don't have a cat.

The Corbyn mania reminds me most of the anti-Thatcher mania in the early 80s. If you believed everybody you heard talking about how hated she was (mainly comedians, musicians, Unions, Labour & the Daily Mirror) you'd have thought she was a certainty to lose in 83. But when it came to it she increased her majority by over 100. People don't like socialism.

You should learn from history. The most LEFT-wing politician to win an election in the last 40 years was Tony Blair. There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest the general public has an appetite for even a soft-left PM, let alone a hard-left pensioner who sings the red flag.

Yes I have read about it. They destroyed the Egyptian air force just before Egypt attacked. But it was done only after Egypt hd publicly declared they were about to wipe Israel off the map: they were about to be attacked. Not quite the same as starting a war.

The yom kippur war of 1973 was entirely different...Israel were caught unawares.

But I dont think they've ever started one. Although they have finished several!

And still no answers to the vital questions: that's fairly typical though, Mr RT will only see what he wants to see and answer what he wants to answer. The rest is just headlines, rhetoric and vitriol.

So that will be everyone above the average wage (ie half the country), all landlords (where will those who can't afford houses live? because, particularly in London the properties will be sold to overseas buyers), and anyone who owns a business (so no wages, making it even more difficult for 'the people' to buy those non-landlord-owned empty houses).
And the country going down the pan because the tax take disappears in a black hole.

Corbyn promises to tax wealth hoarders rather than wage earners.

Great news for the young, not so great for Tory voting boomers rattling around five bedroom houses with two cars in the drive way and a holiday bolt hole in Devon.
