Do you ever feel like you've lost your way or the direction you need to take??
That's me at the momentI want to get rid of the debt, but feel like I haven't got the energy to deal with it at the moment.
I'm sure it'll pass.
On the upside I sold something on Amazon, so need to post that today.
Also bought a book from Amazon last night, I had some money left from my birthday on there so used the last of it.
Totally get that feeling. But you have had an awful lot on. All the job stress is bound to make you tired and jittery. It will pass." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Morning,
Got lots of things whirling around in my head at the moment.
I did my 2017 goals yesterday, so something in me is changing I think lol, it just needs a tweak, I will post it at some point.
We've dropped DS at his Air Cadets try & see day, total cost £10, just hope he enjoys it and wants to carry it on.
Got the dreaded dentist at 10am.
I'm thinking of improving my spreadsheet, does anyone have one that they wouldn't mind emailing over to me?
Got lots to sort today, so I'll update later xx0 -
Spendy day today but worth it I hope.
Dentist okayish £36.40 for DH & I
Hair dye bought £5
New home insurance fee £36.79
Old home insurance cancellation fee £34.04
New home insurance is £18.49pm rather than £37.26pm, so will save in the long run.
No point changing my car insurance this time as everywhere was quoting higher. However, I did manage to find DH a cheaper quote, so he's going to talk to present ones before we decide to cancel it.
Have worked out the remainder of the water rates and they come to £101.55, tempted to pay that off, as it will then give us 6 months breather until the next bill comes in in April?
Good news too.....third party insurers have finally authorised repairs on DH's car, it'll be ready for collection on the 28th August :T:j0 -
Hi,
Just finished reading your diary. Glad you got a new job. :-)

:T on finding cheaper quotes for the home insurance and DH's car insurance!
Just to check though - won't you lose this year's NCB on the home insurance by cancelling mid-policy? That said if you have several years it shouldn't be an issue, but just a thought (never needed to cancel a insurance policy mid-policy before so have little idea how it works!)
With the water rates (impressively low by the way!) if you have the savings/spare cash available, it seems like a good idea - perhaps you could use the breather to put money aside for April's bill so you have one less DD to worry about next year?
Ooooh and :j for the repairs being authorised (however I do hope you meant to type 28th October?)SPC #119: £86 banked

Don't think so, I had the option to protect them on this one too, we've never needed to claim, so shouldn't be a problem (I hope)lilyflower7 wrote: »With the water rates (impressively low by the way!) if you have the savings/spare cash available, it seems like a good idea - perhaps you could use the breather to put money aside for April's bill so you have one less DD to worry about next year?
They always seem low here and my thinking too, even if we only have enough aside for half to be paid straight away, still better then nothinglilyflower7 wrote: »Ooooh and :j for the repairs being authorised (however I do hope you meant to type 28th October?)
Yup, October. Silly me :rotfl:0 -

Hopefully they'll extend you.
But just in case it's probably a good idea to keep looking. Since it's so short term they can't really complain. I'm not sure where you are but if you're anywhere near one of the centres there always a month's data entry work for Royal Mail in December. It's very, short term, boring as all heck and low pay but it's better than nothing.Sealed pot Challenge 9 member #558

It does sound like things are going well at the moment :T
Did your son like the cadets? My daughter has been going for a few years now and been able to do some amazing things. We don't live too far from Cranwell so her squadron often goes flying. She is also much more disciplined than she used to be, and is completely focused on joining the Air Force when she is old enough. When she asked to join, I honestly thought she'd get tired of it after a couple of months... instead she has mapped out her whole future!:happylove0
