Quick update
and thanks everyone for their support and good luck wishes.
New job is great, site team are friendly and even spoke to a Subbie who comes from my home town.
NSD today and I brought my lunch in from home, so need to update my signature tonight.
Plus side....I'm getting paid for the two days I came in last weekI'm mindful that this temp job is only until mid November, so will need to stash it away when it comes in so that it is there to fall back on, it won't be a massive amount but will be useful to have as an emergency.
Off to do more work.0 -
Evening,
Headache has gone, stressless and vitamin b have helped lots, going to get in some early nights too.
Early start tomorrow. DS is off to Boulogne with school and we need to be at the school for 6.30am.
Work was good, just wish it was permanent, need to keep a look out for something else, maybe temping is the way forward for the next few months?
Bed time, I think, will update properly tomorrow.
Night all xx0 -
I'm glad things went well. Maybe they will be able to extend your contract or offer you something longer?:happylove0

Hope DS has a good trip." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Afternoon,
Things haven't quite gone to plan this week, no bread meant that I have to get some out of the freezer this morning, so ended up buying my lunch today, I had a sandwich yesterday but didn't realise it was on the turn until I was on my second halfto say I was nearly sick is an understatement.
Today has been abysmal, I should've stayed in bed, first we left the house late and had to come back to put the bins out, client is whinging about something sent over (she has no people skills), then I almost got a soaking due to a leak on site!
In other news, I have or rather DH for me, applied for a 12 month admin role within in DH's company in a different department, chances are I won't get an interview but nothing lost in trying!
Need to buy some hair dye at some point, beginning to look like a haggard old witch, plus it won't do my chances of getting another job if I don't look presentable.
MBNA payment has come out, so that officially looks good now to look at online.
Will try with the lunch thingy tomorrow!0 -
To top it all off, just received a message on LinkedIn from the MD of company I just quit, asking if he can ring me to have a chat as he'd like to know what problems I was experiencing. Not sure I want to talk to him, as my reasons for leaving were in my resignation.
He did say that he doesn't want to be difficult with me and that he sends me his best wishes.
Hmmmm not sure what to do0 -
Sorry things aren't going so well, there must be something in the air!
I would be annoyed at the message from the old MD. If you gave the reasons in your resignation, what more does he need to know? It's not like he's going to change your mind, but then again maybe he just wants clarification so the situation does not happen again? I would be very tempted to just ignore it but I don't always make the wisest decisions...:happylove0 -

One of those days I think, Thistle
I wasn't so much annoyed, just a bit jittery....annoyance will come later I think. When everyone had gone out of the site office, I wrote down everything that had happened over the last month and it filled a whole A4 sheet
On the upside, DH spoke to the lady that's leaving for maternity and mentioned that he'd put my cv through and that I'm temping for their sister company.....she's interested as it comes at the right time, she said that she'll let him know once my cv has landed on her desk :T0 -
Morning,
Do you ever feel like you've lost your way or the direction you need to take??
That's me at the momentI want to get rid of the debt, but feel like I haven't got the energy to deal with it at the moment.
I'm sure it'll pass.
On the upside I sold something on Amazon, so need to post that today.
Also bought a book from Amazon last night, I had some money left from my birthday on there so used the last of it.0 -
I know that feeling only too well. I feel like hibernating at the moment rather than dealing with all the things I need to get finished.
I hope you have a better day today!:happylove0
