I have copied my October Aims over so that I can keep a better check on it

    October Aims

    15 NSD's
    10 LSD's
    15 AFD's

    [STRIKE]Find a job - PRIORITY[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Food order and meal plan for the month[/STRIKE] not happening, change of plan
Try and overpay MBNA to try and keep it on target
    Lunch to work every day
    Update finances and squares
Ring water company and see what the balance is - settle account for the year?
[STRIKE]Holiday end October - To be a LSW as much as possible[/STRIKE] No longer happening
  • Update time :)

Spent a grand total of £42 on two pairs of jeans from Debenhams, they should keep me going for a while.

Didn't do the car insurances and in my defence I had a headache, so napped for an hour or so.

I have rediscovered our various savings accounts, these consist of DH's Isa account, my Isa and savings account and my 'pots' savings account, I also have another online savings account & DH has a basic savings account. I have had a look at them and there's small amounts in there, so I am going to make a note on my spreadsheet and allocate each account to something.

The reason for all the accounts is that one time 12-13 years ago, DH's dad died, not long after mine. FIL at the time left each child a modest inheritance, we split ours to try and get the most from it. Roll forwards a lot of years and we have the accounts but didn't learn very much :o

When I get to write everything down & what's in there, I will put it down here in my diary so that I know what there is and what each account is going to be used for.

The plan to get rid of the MBNA card still stands, just need a plan for 2017 to get the ball rolling.
  • Yey for new job! I start my new job on Monday too. Sometimes you just need to leave to get out of the environment.

Keep chipping away at that credit card, it'll go down before you realise it!
    February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00
    NST no. NSD 4/15
  • Hi PMO2 I thought I would stop by your diary to say hello :o

Congratulations on the new job! :D Regarding the savings accounts have you thought about putting the money in high interest current accounts to make the most of the money? Even a little bit of interest earned from doing that can come off the CC :)

You seem really on top of the debt and I'm sure you'll get to 8k by Christmas - subscribing too so that I can cheer you on :D

  • Well, DD is back and so excited and full of chatter about this weekends fun, really glad she enjoyed it and greatful for my lovely friend for letting her join in. She does now have 4 badges to sew on :(:rotfl:

Really tired today & have had a chronic headache for the past two days, the last time this happened DS was a baby and I suffered from a vitamin B difficiency due to carrying him. I had to have injections for weeks after. Anyway a glass of milk and a vitamin B tablet and the headache has dulled, I think some of it was stress related this time though, need to keep my levels topped up though.

My ex-MD advertised on LinkedIn for a DC on the project. As much as I feel bad that I'm the only one that knows the systems inside & out, I couldn't risk waiting until October to see if I'd get paid, despite how much I like the people on site.

Still I start a new job tomorrow, even if it is only temporary to begin with : :T:j sorry, but I really looking forward to it.

Left over roast dinner for lunch tomorrow. I'm still aiming to keep with my plan of taking my lunch to work and apart from my allocated spends for the week, I'm aiming for a NSW

Also aiming for some AFD's this week, now things have settled down, this should be achievable.

Sorry for the rambling, off for a shower and then bed. Night all xx
  • Good luck for tomorrow, I hope your headache stays away. Let us know how you get on!
    :happylove
  • Morning,

New job, new start looking forward to it :)

Had my vitamin b tablet, still got a dull headache :( hopefully it'll ease.

Aiming for a NSD and AFD today, I have left over roast dinner for lunch too. I am aiming to smash my October targets.

Need to get my parking and train ticket this morning, these come out of the budget so don't count.

Got lots of other bits I need to do before work, so I'd better get a shift on.

    Have a good day
