  • Gggrrrr! Just when things were going the right way, three payments come out early and scupper everything. Had to move money about to cover them

Need to keep a tighter hold next month in case the same thing happens again.

Lunch made for work today, I really didn't want to but it's done now. I've enough snacks at work too, so lunch is sorted.

Dinner is prepped for tonight and in the oven, DS just needs to switch the oven on after school.
  • Nightmare about the early payments! I hate it when things like that take me by surprise.

Your July list sounds great. I am trying to carve out a little 'me time' too as I realise it's very easy for me to get a bit frenetic and stressed. The downside is that as a self employed person, every 30 minutes I'm relaxing is 30 minutes I'm not earning money!
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.
  • Dinner was ok, not great but edible.

Had a !!!!!! day at work, compounded but naughty children and p!ss!ed off husband.

DS has gone through his data on his phone, not impressed either.

Going to bed soon, may be tomorrow will be better.

Kids and phones - my 2 always eat all their data in first week of month. How they do this I have no idea as on wifi at home and school. I've got them on Tesco capped contracts so when it's gone, it's gone. Unlucky for them, lifesaving for me and my budget

  • Morning and Happy Hump Day.

Hoping for a better day today.

DD has her intervention day at her new secondary school, DH is taking her and I'm picking her up.

I've Friday morning booked off so I can watch DS at school on his sports day. Honestly though I feel I need the time off.

Not much happening with the agencies, looking on indeed.com, there's a DC role that's not too far from home, so I'm going to apply for it. No immediate rush to get another job, but I do need to start applying in case the carp hits the fan.

DH has been given the chance to go on a speed awareness course rather then a fine & points, so he's taken that on and booked the course.

Good luck for the job! Especially if its closer to home.

Good DH doesn't get points too.

    Have a good day x

  • Morning,

DD enjoyed her induction day at the secondary school, the only bad side being is that we have to pay for her travel (if she gets spot on the bus) changes mean that although DS gets free travel DD now doesn't as there is a high school nearer to our home address and she could've gone there. If the worst happens and they can't offer her a space, we will look at changing secondary schools.

On to other news, it's DS's 13th birthday today and although he didn't get a lot for his birthday, he does seem to appreciate what he did get. The bad news is his GF dumped him last night and he only saw the message this morning :(

Pay day tomorrow, chance to feel rich for a whole five mins before everyone gets their share of the money :rotfl:

Yep, on Instagram. He said to her that he's okay about it, she said she feels bad but happy birthday anyway!?! he told her don't worry and thanks. That boy of mine is too nice!
